I love my Levi, but I'm thinking of replacing it with a Voltedge, for both FSC and JK. Thoughts?
Opinions on the elemental swords in comparison to Leviathan?
And I love my MAX Ctr FOV for both places. Risky? Yes. Worth it? Tell me, do YOU like one hitting most T3 weak to elemental enimies?
If you're in a group that knows what they're doing, thats all you do at JK is charge. FoV or Levi charge outdamages normal attacking with it and keeps you with a lot more health in the end.
" In the JK fight, you usually don't have time to charge"
Wait.. what? if are not doing charge attacks you're doing it wrong. For JK Combuster or Voltedge are good because fire and shock does damage. FoV makes JK a joke. Acheron doesnt leaves an status on JK but hits hard on the rest of jellies.
For FSC, Combuster/glacius/voltedge does way more damage on zombies, but the charge attack does far less knockback (levi spam).
I've beaten the Jelly King maybe 75 times, including some solo, without ever charging. But now I'll give it a try. Thanks.
Edit: Maybe the issue is that I'm usually there to lead novices through the fight, so I'm not in a group that knows what it's doing. Still I'll try it.
I didn't start charging until recently either. Charging GF, FoV, Levi all work well and finishes the fight quickly. I used to always be the one with the DVS, so charging would have been silly.
When he is doing the spin attack, you can follow in the wake while charging and release when he calms down.
For most of FSC you want elemental damage. So Voltedge seems good; so does Glacius. For Vanaduke himself you'd prefer piercing damage. For Jelly King the damage type doesn't matter (he's not weak to shadow). The Voltedge shocks enemies only if you charge it, right? In the JK fight, you usually don't have time to charge. So it doesn't seem any better than Leviathan. Most people like Vile Striker/Dread Venom Striker for poisoning, or Faust/Gran Faust for cursing.
