Questions regarding Scarlet Fortress and a UV Skelly Suit
1) I was searching for a free Gel Core from monster drops (for my Shadowtech Alchemer... I think), and I decided for my last level to be Scarlet Fortress (Grim Gallery). Of course, I didn't get my Gel Core, but what I did notice is that I never got any minerals. Did I miss something, or does Grim Gallery have no minerals?
2) So I bought a Gel Core from the Auction House, then went to Vatel and spend 3000 Crowns on a Skelly Suit recipe, a Jelly Helm recipe, and a Wolver Coat recipe. I decided to craft the Skelly Suit, because then I'd have all three damage types covered. I was lucky and it got a unique variant. I checked to see what the UV was, and it was Enhanced Piercing Defense: Medium. Is that good for a Skelly Suit?

Medium is always decent for a UV and piercing on a shadow set is quite good because scarlet fortress levels combine undead and jelly, and include spike traps, thus exposing you to piercing and shadow attacks.
Looks like I should be going on more Scarlet Fortress runs. Gel Cores are one of the most frequent 2* materials I need for recipes.

Gel cores are relatively common drops on levels with jellies in tier 2. Look for jelly strata (you're probably not ready for the royal jelly palace yet in only 2* gear, though) or scarlet fortress levels and you'll have plenty of gel cores in no time.
So I looked at the Gate Map and noticed the next two levels were Shock/Slime-themed levels. I cleared both levels and got myself three Gel Cores! =D

...the minerals are on a path to the right of the room with the spikes and the key (spawns enemies when you grab the key). It's easy to miss, actually.
When I go back to Scarlet Fortress (I'm currently looking for Swordstone and Blast Powder), I'll be sure to heed what you said!

Do jelly palace runs skip out JK if your full 2* gear and a bit weak unless you got some good teammates and if u want to get some jelly gems.

I'm not fit for Tier 2. I need to improve greatly on my shielding. I got steamrolled in a Shock-themed, Tier 2 Candlestick Keep (but I guess that's not the best place to start Tier 2 on, especially when you couldn't find anyone else to go with).
1. All maps have minerals so you probably missed it
2. The UV isnt amazing but it's ok
