Since currently participating in Lockdown and/or Blast Network costs only 200 crowns, anyone can take part in them. The best part of it? People don't need to buy equipment for it. Its fun! But not much reason to spend $$ on this game.

So my suggestion is simple:
a) high-stakes game. Taking part costs 1k crowns (10k crowns? 25k crowns?!), winner receives 80% of all participation fees. But I fear people will exploit network lags to gain an unfair advantage...
b) tournament. Taking part costs you more (500 crowns? 1000 crowns?) but you get an artifact for participation and/or place you receive, bigger reward if you grab one of those shiny places, small reward for not taking those. Tournaments can be made for free for all and team-based (random team) blast network, as well as lockdown (though I'd hold off LD tournament for a month or two to gather feedback, balance weapons, classes ect). Tournaments should be limited to regions of the world (using IP to determine region), you can basically separate them into 4 groups, like USA+Canada (or whole American continent), Western-Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia + other remote parts of the world, or by average player's ping times.

For your information: I rarely win blast network games :P just looking for a reason to keep playing SK, currently its becoming more and more boring each day.
