My friend was playing a lock down game and then joined me after he finished and he had gotten a 4* Virulisk suit (not sure if that is the right spelling) from the lockdown game. He never bought or had it before hand either. He doesn's have the CR for it or CE or even the recipes. He just got it from lockdown.

You can't get functional gear from lockdown, only costumes. He had to get it in the clockworks from a box and just didn't notice it.
