No more bosses.

A see a lot of threads here saying, a new this boss or a new that boss. Rather than reply to each one separately, I'm here to say, no.

Now, this is a more nuanced position than you might think, and takes some explanation. Right now, each boss is always available in one active gate. It was like that before Roarmulus Twins were introduced, too. With four bosses, that means that each gate has one highly repetitive boss stratum instead of a "real" stratum.

Now, that's tolerable. That means that you still get a lot of normal gates for variety, rather than having to endlessly loop a few highly repetitive boss strata, which gets old in a hurry.

But what if a lot more bosses were added? If it's done the way gate creation is now, then once you get to six bosses, you only get one new normal gate in each tier every four days instead of two. Once you get to nine bosses, it's only once every eight days. At twelve bosses, the normal second, fourth, and sixth strata are gone.

And that would be a big problem, as it would mean that the overwhelming majority of the game's content gives very little loot. That pushes players to loop a tiny subset of the content endlessly. That would be awful game design. What's the point in having a bunch of content if you go out of your way to strongly discourage players from actually playing the content?

Right now, each gate has one boss stratum. I'd propose leaving it there if more bosses are added. Meaning, if you add a fifth boss, then at any given time, four of the five bosses would be available in some gate.

That means that at any given time, not all bosses would be available. But if done properly, you could make sure that there in each tier, there is always some boss available in some gate.

u assume it that way when

u assume it that way when they could just as easily cycle the bosses on a gate. so if each boss has an individual gate and there 6 bosses 4 of them would be in the active gates and the last 2 would be on the next two in the middle of gate creation

I agree with what you saying.

I totally agree with what you are saying, adding more bosses will take up the available stratum that are use for normal levels like mechanical mile, haunted passage ways, graveyards, arenas etc..

So how about this: If we are to add more bosses, then make it so more access gates are to appear to accommodate the arrival of a new boss. That way more stratums are there to counter balance the the boss levels in place. Then you have more bosses for the people who want them and more levels for free range adventuring.

What Dark Ritual?

One more boss. The core boss. In every stratum. I'd miss mechanized mile an all.

I'd assume they would do it

I'd assume they would do it the way monkeyman135 mentioned. There is absolutely no need to have every boss available all the time once they start adding more. Either that or they could make it so the first "boss" level cycles between available ones like normal levels, and then once on a boss level you are locked to that specific boss path.

Problem solved. All the "normal" stratums are safe and the developers are free to add new content.

Well...

Not making all bosses available at one time means some people will miss Royal Jelly for two days. During that time prices of boss token items will jack up.

Oh wait, brain blast! Possible business venture.

...that is, unless they make 5 gates available instead of 4 if they add 1 more non-core boss.

What!

Don't stop the production of new bosses.
The problem can easily be solved by adding another gate or just having the idea of monkeyman

Two bosses per strata. evens

Two bosses per strata. evens out, fair enough. Having only vannaduke influences fire ressist way too much, making fire useless in pvp.
