Hi,

I can't seem to log in to spiral knights since last week's updates...
I always get the "Failed to connect to the server" message when the game window has launched.
I tried to dl and install the game (I usually click on 'play' on the website), then also tried to uninstall it and use the website, with no results...

Here are my system specs (usually the game runs fine)...

Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
Intel Core i3 CPU M330 @ 2,13 Ghz
4,0 Gb RAM.
ATI Mobility Radeon. HD 5470 512MB

Could slow internet connection affect logging in, by any chance?

These are known to give people problems.

org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Could not locate OpenAL library.

Looks like the patch failed, and several game resources were messed up in the process.

C:\Users\Arthur\AppData\LocalLow\spiral - delete the entire spiral folder, clear your browser cache, and then try launching the game again through the Play page. Only attempt to launch it once.

If it still has issues after its completed downloading, then go back into that directory and locate the launcher.log file. If it has problems patching, it should indicate it in that file.

I can't seem to find the launcher.log file (even using search).

Any ideas on what is going on?

You did what Starlin suggested and it didn't help?
I guess you can try dropping a complete copy of the game into your C:\Users\Arthur\AppData\LocalLow\spiral
This thread has links to old-sih .rar files of the full game.
After you unpack the file to the right folder, you'll need to update the getdown and digest files as described earlier in the thread.

Remember to use the browser client .rar

laucher.log is the same

laucher.log is the same location as projectx.log. launcher.log is created by getdown during the patch operation.... if that doesn't work, it shouldn't be able to launch the game at all.
