Ok, so I got a good solid 5* set thats not the typical combo (but its good for Pve and PvP) so I started looking into secondary wepons and armour. Now I wanted the armour to be mainly for looks (because mad bomber doesnt look that epic) so I immediatly thought of the crown of the fallen and vog cub coat. Now when my brother heard this he said "dude that helmet has a PONYTAIL! Its totally for girls. As a guy i thought well it doenst look that much for girls (but it does explain why a lot peeps with the crown of the fallen have the color pink...) And plus the azure guarian helm has ponytail, so cobalt users take this into consideration, does the ponytail on the crown of the fallen, make it for girls? I want your opinion.
Another thing is its usefullness alone and with the vog cub coat. Ok, so that stats for the crown is attk speed low, shadow+normal def,fire+poison resist and curse weakness and dam penalty vs feind. Ok, what makes it so good? I was thinking of using it (remember, mostly for looks) for PvP because i will have a bit of defence toward the GF users and decent sword speed+lots of fire resist.
So in short heres the questions I want answered:
1. Does the ponytail on the Crown of the Fallen make it for girls? (Remember the Azure Guardian example)
2. Does it look epic with Vog Cub coat? (or any other epic suggestions that include some kind of wolver coat)
3. Why is the Crown of the Fallen good? (If it is good at all)
4. Is it good in PvP or even PvE?

I think the whole angelic line was meant to be for the girls. Regardless of whether or not it has a "ponytail". The Spiral Warden looks like he has a ponytail, but it is just a plume like some medieval helmets had for decoration/identification/rank. Really looks a ton like the lego knights I had as a kid.

The angelic line goes to Valkyrie armor. The Valkyrie were fierce warrior women from Norse mythology (not guys).

I believe NicoyaKitty (I watch your videos :3) mentions that Granfaust will destory the fallen armour because of the so-called (Curse Status)
I've never be cursed EVER in Lockdown before, but the status does not cause greater damage than it is, (Shadow Damage) the Valk and Fallen set allows the user to take at least 1 or 2 more hits than the other T3 sets.
If you get the curse status (shield) with Guardian, turn (invisible)Ninja with Recon and never attack. (If you have striker, shame on you and trololol for getting cursed) (Recon is the way to go!)
I own the three only types of crowns in Spiral Knights, the Royal Jelly Crown, Crown of the fallen and Currency crowns.

I chose the starting helmet with what I saw as little trees sprouting out of it. I went with purple since I find it especially amusing that greenery at night is sometimes depicted with purple hues, that being about as far from green as a colour can get and all. Now I cannot stop seeing them as pigtails dyed purple like some teenage brat. Thanks a lot, you all.
I looked up the Angelic helms on the wiki and am pleased to see that the "ponytails" look like trees too. Maybe I'll get me one of those for a costume, since I'm getting me an Angelic Raiment for costume purpose too because I find the juxtaposition of heavy plate mail with a luxuriously soft-looking skirt too hilarious to pass up. I dunno, I still like my bombhead mask though...
Oh, yeah, useability? Fire is one of the things I most fear getting on me, so I would not be using it a lot. I would probably like it in Poison-themed strata since I assume Fire would be uncommon. Maybe it would work for Fiend-themed or Undead-themed strata, especially if we get a lot of Curse and/or Poison with those Monster themes- I don't really know, I have not been paying attention to which monsters most often have which status effects. I get a weak impression that Poison Lichens are more common than other poison monsters, but that could easily be just because I notice how purdy they look and thus remember them more strongly.

I personally view the fallen set as a bit of a step down from the valkyrie set, since the fallen set is only really a solid match against undead thanks to its fiend nerf. The valkyrie set is somewhat unpopular because of the fire weakness and the fact that the endgame undead content (fsc) is fire themed.
On the PvP side, you're gonna get screwed with the fallen set when someone chases you down with a GF because of the curse weakness.
Also yes, the fallen and valkyrie sets are for girls and you're a girl for asking. Get over it.
