You're Lucky
You're lucky man all I ever see since they've been introduced are Howlitzers. I pray for and welcome days I get the old puppys again, even if they're rockets puppys. I hate seeing the Howlitzers ALL THE TIME.

They usually appear in Fiend
They usually appear in Fiend and Undead stages. Not all stages will HAVE turrets in them though, so you're most likely to see one in a Candlestick Keep or a Fiend/Undead arena.
I noticed their heads seem to follow the same behavior as that tier's Rocket Puppy rockets... And, like the rockets, they can be shot down with the proper aim and timing. (They become vulnerable a second or two after they start moving. Fairly easy to hit with an expanded Pulsar shot. Literally: BOOM, headshot!)

I see them quite often on
I see them quite often on Tier 2 (stratum3) of the Queen Gate. It is shock themed mixed strata, with undead, construct, fiend, and jelly. I really dig that gate. I usually hit the non-candlestick undead map because it has a danger room, then the Construct Arena, then the Fiend Arena, then the Jelly Arena. It is a pretty decent little run. You might want to at least have a well grounded shield though (anti-shock).
If you have not seen howitzer's in that long, you must be avoiding fiend/undead like the plague!

Well I don't avoid themes I just adapt to the theme quickly.I mean I did a lot of arenas and all I see is slime turrets and the old puppy turrets :D.I probally spam tier 3 to find one.
Do some arenas?
