To CE market whiners:
We don't even care anymore so we won't bother with your meaningless overused threads that relate to CE
To the haters of the above people:
Don't give in. Ignore the posts and makeone I will WANT to comment on. AKA Maybe Fanfiction, cool tricks, stuff to do when bored, new announcements
To Devs:
I don't mind Power Surge weekend. I like them. What I don't like are the infinite CE complainers and flood of forums with Thread #10932848392827489485748329947566574383293285476574 about CE is too high of a price.

I really hope you guys realize this has happened before and not troll the forums.(I know who you are and who will...)
So in advance:
CE forums I will ignore and not post on. (Unless the title says something like "How do you get the cr for CE? " And has some inspiring ideas for complainers)
The reduced cost i WILL use with my mist to double income.
Still buying CE and I don't care how high the price is. Heres my Weekly schedule if you haven't seen it in another thread:

I run JK everyday with mist afterschool
Then chat with friends in a happy manner
Buy 100CE with earned CR
Play Lockdown a bit
Do a quick arena if I see a guildie there
Log off with 0 mist and 100Ce everyday
Homework
Bed and Sleepy-time
NEXT DAY
Check some stuff on SK (auctions etc)
Go to school
Come back home
Repeat SK schedule above
Logoff with ANOTHER 100CE and 0 mist with a few spare CR (~500-1500 on a good day)
Homework
Bed and forums if I want via my 3DS

NEXT DAY
Its a Weekend no school!
Now i have 30-50 mist in the morning and at least 500CE from the school days
Can basically end the weekend with 0 mist and ~230-300CE

Now its Monday!
Repeat School day schedule above.

????
Profit.
Even when I grind after school I can usually only fit in a full T2 JK run and 2 FSC floors with a bit of LD
Yes that depletes my mist fully and i run a bit on CE but look how I get CE vs CR
Even if prices reach 7k+ Ill still be able to afford 100CE per 1 1/2 days

again...????
FREAKING GOOD PROFIT
Not the best but pretty decent for a grinder on weekends.

...does Puzzle Pirates get the same "CE threads"? HEH.

I'm still a supporter of the system "working as intended", even through natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina or a Power Surge can screw around with it.

Many people don't have the time to use the schedule you speak of. In addition, if you can't solo the entire JK run without deaths then you won't make more than 5.5k CR. This crosses tier 2 players off the list, and only leaves T3. T1 and T2 players have a gigantic income curve they have to overcome.

JK runs profit more than that

and going solo isn't really that much better since JK mats don't fetch much. Saves you the hassle of not dealing with morons though.

1. You don't need to solo the jelly palace to get 5.5k CR. If you run on mist, you would've gained at least 5.5k CR with no CE cost. And the point of not dying is to reward skill. Also, you don't need to do the boss! Stop at floor 16 and you would've used up 10 energy less.
2. Can replace "I run JK everyday with mist afterschool" with:
a. Crafting (on Mist)
b. Buying weapon/trinket/krogmo upgrades (with 100 Mist + extra CE)
3. Have a little time to play? You can still PvP after Mist is used up in #2 (you may lose cr in the medium run, but eventually you'll have a mod calibrator to sell)

I believe you though. If worse comes to worse we'll all have to start halfway... or go to non boss tier 2 so we have a good 17th floor :D

Or always start at clockwork terminal so run depth 14-16 of royal jelly palace thrice every day...

Easy way to handle it. Stockpile cr like crazy. I managed to get to like 60K before I had to buy 4* recipes for a buddy. dropped to 40K. Bought ce, had 25K left. Bided on Ce, had 15K left. Bidded on Silversix recipe, 6K left.

NVM that, just look what I had before I spent it. With that amount of cr, you don't care too much about ce prices. If you do, then be patient, and pray they will drop. With the introduction of LD, you don't need to stop playing JUST cuz you ran out of ce/mist. Complain when you run out of ce/mist AND cr :P

Great question. The answer is yes, of course, there are always going to be people who complain about anything and everything. However, there are no where near as many. A key differences is that everything that you can spend "CE" on in puzzle pirates that can earn you "crowns" (e.g. not just costume stuff, pets, etc.) can easily earn even a brand new player more "crowns" than it cost to buy it. Labor badges, bravery badges, sloops, etc. all can pay for themselves without too much effort. The same can not be said for brand new players on spiral knights.

Of course, puzzle pirates has a huge amount of "crown" sinks, so people often buy "CE" with the intent to selling most, if not all, of it for "crowns".

(the "CE" in puzzle pirates is called doubloons, the "crowns" are call Pieces of Eight, but in almost all ways they are functionally identical.)

@ Others: Just wanted to input that the "need" for Doubloons is nowhere near as much as the "need" to buy CE... or so I feel anyway. And like wrs said they pay for themselves so much better.

the need to buy CE! You can't do ANYTHING in YPP other than fart around with the navy or job for a crew without dubs. Or at least that's how it was last time I played YPP. Also, drinking is the absolute best part of YPP. I used to make real drinking games out of the drinking game in YPP.

You can't do ANYTHING in YPP other than fart around with the navy or job for a crew without dubs.

Uh, "job for a crew" in puzzle pirates is about the equivalent of "run the clockworks" in spiral knights. Maybe it is more like "run T1/T2, with no danger rooms/boss strata", the games don't match up exactly, but a huge part of the puzzle pirates game is jobbing with a crew. In addition, you can play several other puzzles for free on any given day (which puzzles are free rotates) and most land-based (think haven) PvP puzzles are free if you challenge a specific person. At various times, I've played puzzle pirates for months without buying the equivalent of "CE", even from the exchange.

There are so many profit making ways to play puzzle pirates without "CE", that there is no reason at all to have the equivalent of mist energy.
