Those monsters with a red sword over their heads when I kill them it says attack up... is that my attack or its attack? I'm not quite sure what those holographic swords mean but I'm quite curious.

Interesting. I wonder if that implies there will be a similar player ability be it by vial or some other method.
Say, buff vials is actually a pretty cool idea.
Then again, as it is, considering how healing items are currently used by/for oneself, that's probably how the buff items would work too.
Maybe if there was a way to make pitchable potions on the fly (drag a healing pill onto a low-strength vial you don't care about?)
Alpha wolvers will buff any small wolvers near them. As for buffs, we're currently in the concept stage for how those might play out.
Deployable 'beacons' could work. Instead of throwing something, you place it on the ground like a bomb, and it buffs or heals all nearby allies until it expires or you leave the area.
I've seen the Medisword in the resource folders.
I'm not sure how that would work, but I really don't think buffs are all that necessary.
I think being able to steal buffs off monsters by killing them would be cool. But only if you used your sword or were in a similar range.
Say an Alpha Wolver dies, it would buff you as well as other monsters in the vicinity.
Kind of like when the Nightwings die and they send out that healing wave.

Support bombs would be kind of cool. That could function like the beacon idea, or they could be item drops like the vials. If weapons that can heal are introduced, they need to be very carefully balanced and have some downside, because any weapon that heals, even if it only heals 1 bar per charged attack, can allow a team to heal to full after every battle.
It could work if it only healed when dealing a killing blow.
In any case, the medical sword in the game files is the Cautery sword.
I'd love to see vials providing healing area affects or armor buffs! It would certainly make me pick up more of them :)
It's their attack being raised.
I dunno, but I think the only two monsters that'll be encountered all that often which can raise attack right now are the Alpha Wolver and the Trojan, and the Alpha Wolver's the only one who can do it to others. Don't quote me on that, though.
