Hi everyone!
I've been playing this game for a couple of days but I haven't got this yet. Are there any benefits from using sets? I just crafted a wolver coat and I've been thinking of getting the cap, but I don't know if it's a clever thing to do. I have many mats idling that I could put to better use, and in my case, I'd only get frost resistance (perhaps should get some fire too?).
I am missing anything? Do you get a bonus with the whole set?

There is none. Making a set just gives high amounts of the same resistances.
Actually, the armor system is designed to reward mixing and matching, so one could argue that there are drawbacks to equipping a set. (You only get defense vs 1-2 of the 4 possible damage types)

You pay for the sexiness of Vog Cub by wearing ugly gear up until that point.
Same with Dread Skelly. It looks badass, but has terrible stats.
There's no bonus from wearing a similar family of armor other than aesthetic matching, which is entirely your personal preference.
Cosmetic slots make this wonderful!
