Old thread: forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/2033
With the new forum update, I've lost access to the forums with my old account since I have converted to Steam. Because of that, I'm making a new thread so I can edit it if it is necessary.
Inactive Members: If you have been kicked for inactivity but happened to come back, simply contact one of the officers or guildmasters and we'll gladly reinvite you back in.
Backstory on the guild name: It was originally made as a sort of joke to mock the generic Knight pun guild names, and partially also my lack of creativity and weird taste for silly guild names. As we grew however, the meaning of the guild sort of changed - We're the actual meaning of a "Guild". Teamwork, fun, power, friends. And regretfully, not many guilds were able to achieve such, so it grew into a strong, binding name.
Active since late February of 2011.
An Introduction
For years in my internetian life, I have played several MMOs, and been a member of many guilds. But whenever joining a guild, there would be a few problems that I'd always face, common problems, that would hinder my experience:
- Inactive member load
- Inactive guild masters
- Guild masters that do not care about their guild
But the one worst thing would be... idiotic, noobish members. Those kind of people with a really weird sense of humor, often making terrible jokes ("ur mom", "reported... lol jk", etc), always getting mad over small things, asking simple things that they could find themselves all the time, ("how do i move omg") their general immature behaviour, and... the god damn mess their grammar is (For Heavens' sake, your and you're aren't the same words!).
I might be sounding a bit mean in this, but honestly, often what makes someone want to quit a guild is one of those things; idiotic people being the most common reason. Even if they do not end up quitting a guild because of that, it will certainly weigh on their entire experience.
As the guild master of Guild, I can assure you, I am not going to simply accept these kind of people inside the guild.
Although myself I am not as active anymore, I'm still watching over the guild through some players and visiting sometimes; Our officers should be taking good care of the guild otherwise.
Guild is a guild where we want some organization and matureness so it's not just fun to a few people, but to everyone here, with us.
Features and Cool Stuff
We do most of the organization through our Steam group, or in-game. You can use the group to ask members to look for recipes for you, and there's also some info on our PvP teams, and our mumble.
When it comes down to a website or forum, we wouldn't really use it. It's not really necessary when we have the Steam group, and do all of our talking online or on Steam. A general lack of a guild announcement or something similar also makes it sort of difficult to get everyone to use a forum or website, even more actively.
As said in the old thread, sometimes we like doing some silly crap and challenges just for fun. We have never really hosted many, to be honest. We've all just been pretty satisfied running and playing with each other normally. But sometimes, we'll still have those boring moments where we get very silly and screw everything up in a run for the challenge!
Joining Guild
As said before, we have a somewhat strict filter on members; We're looking mostly for mature and reasonable members. Do not expect us to accept you in the guild if you act noobish, immature, idiotic or anything like that when you first ask to.
And although you might be accepted, you're still under observation, until promoted to member; If we feel you are acting childish, we might end up kicking you.
In order to join, copy and fill out the application ahead and send it to Renzey in an in-game mail, in order to preserve your privacy and make things generally easier for us. Replies to the thread with the application and applications sent to other officers may or may not be ignored.
It is also advised to check out the basic conduct guidelines below, to make sure you'll be able to follow them.

General Conduct Guidelines
Respect and loyalty. Got some issues with a member? Take it to whispers or mail, and try to settle it down. No need to get the whole guild involved in what might be a personal and silly argument. Bought a recipe, planned to resell, but someone in the guild needs it? Sell it to them. Passing through Basil? List out the good recipes and check if anyone wants any.
If you happen to fail in the respect part, we'll give you a couple of warnings before a temporary (or permanent) kick. We'll ask you to settle it down and calm down a bit before you can be reinstated into the guild. Loyalty is more of a principle to be followed; It's not an issue if you'd rather not help your guildies now and then, but it's not something that should happen constantly.
Decent grammar is important. If you're not in middle of battle, take your time; Avoid using abbreviations such as "u", "y", "r", etc.
We'll be nagging you about it if you happen to be abbreviating too much.
Maturity. We sure do love being silly quite often, but silliness has a limit, and some things just aren't funny at all. If you're asked to stop, then do stop. If you fail to comply, a temporary (or permanent) kick might be issued.
Activity! If you're going to be away for a while, be sure to contact the officers about it. If something unexpected happened and you did not have the chance to contact us, and you got kicked for inactivity, worry not. As said in the beginning of the thread, simply ask any officer to get reinvited, at any time. We usually kick after two weeks of inactivity.
Don't be a noob. As in, someone who refuses to learn and improve themselves. If we notice you're doing bad in a run, we might give you some advice about it, and try to help you with it. (or, rage furiously if you're being really stupid!) Don't take it in the bad way; We don't think you suck or anything, just that you could, and should, be better.
This is a pretty small thing. But if you're doing really silly things while in runs or PvP that might be harming the run or match, or just playing badly on purpose, and refuse to stop for whatever reason, we might have to remove you from the team.
The Staff
>Guild Masters: Biznasty
>Officers: Twili, Fruits, Shennynerd, Dirt, Apologetic, Renzey
Renzey is the one in charge of recruiting; If you wish to join, mail him your application.
Other random reasons to join Guild
Also known as "the place where we can show off".
Our guild name is Guild, damn it!
We're pretty social. We don't only do runs and talk about SK, we often have discussions about other things, sometimes even some pretty damn weird stuff... and I do mean weird... We also are cool with playing other games with each other.
We were one of the most successful guilds in the last preview, having over 70 members, out of which 55+ were actually active, and all of them were a fun and mature bunch. (...that was a lot, back then!)
We have so many Fangs of Vog that we could make a Vog sculpture. If we had his fur, bones, flesh, eyeballs...
One of our members is called Pizzashark. I mean, come on. Pizzashark, dude.
We all love being STRONG.
Corn.
Also, bacon.
Corn bacon fruit salad.
Maybe you should make the subject of this thread a little more interesting. Braggy, even. This is Guild after all. Just calling the subject "Guild" isn't so attractive.
