If you do this, your character seems to no longer look at your cursor (changes from the large arrow pointing what direction you face into the normal looking pointer you see when using menus), which can screw up aiming.

Happens when you click on a part of your HUD, locked or not, that can be activated (inventory, loadout etc) and click to perform an action, as long as the button is held, it isn't registered WHERE it is. Kinda like when you open your inventory, and up until your mouse is in the inventory, your character will follow the mouse. When you move the mouse after that, it won't register on your characters movement.
