I just got my second sealed sword today and I have been wanting to get into tier 3 for a while now. I currently have a four star sword, a three star armor, a three star helmet and a two star shield. Should I sell or trade my sealed sword for a four star piece of equipment? Can I trade it in for more than one piece of equipment?

Or should I just keep my sealed sword and just wait patiently until I can get into tier 3.

My four star sword is a cold iron carver. My three star armor is dusker. My three star helmet is a drake helm. My shield could be bristling buckler.

I have a big arsenal and I have many different alchemy paths that I could take to get into tier 3. Would it be a waste to upgrade this set of armor to four star? Would I just be better upgrading other armor in my arsenal?

My Arsenal

Swords: Cold Iron Carver, Iceburst Brandish, Two Sealed Swords, Snarble Barb, Two Cutters, Calibur

Handgun: Blaster

Bomb: Blast Bomb, Crystal Bomb, Fiery Vaporizer, Freezing Vaporizer

Helmet: Drake Scale Helm, Magic Hood, Skelly Mask, Spiral Demo Helm, Wolver Cap

Armour: Cobalt Armor, Drake Scale Mail, Dusker Coat, Magic Cloak, Skelly Suit, Spiral Demo Suit

Sheild: Bristling Buckler, Owlite Shield, Plate Sheild, Skelly Shield

I can't help you with the

I can't help you with the above trade...to me, I would try to wait it out and upgrade the equipment yourself, but that's just me.

Bristling Buckler isn't bad, in my opinion, but I rather go with an Owlite for Elemental defense. I'm also liking Magic Hood's upgrades too(For the divine veil.), but I have a friend who likes using the drake helm(Or at least, it looked liked it. :P) and he has some good success with it.

Dusker into Ashtail is a good idea. I would probably start with that.(If you do decide to switch sheilds, I would go with upgrading the Owlite first instead, again, for the elemental defense and the useful status resistances.)

Also I would go with a bomb as your secondary weapon, preferably Freezing Vaporizer series so you have something that can slow down some hoards.

Focus

You should, for the time being, focus on some general parts and upgrade to 5* before you consider having multiple sets.

Your first priority should be to upgrade a shield to 4* at least (as Kreuz, I would advise to go for Owlite), then weapons you actually use (you can't possibly use that much weapons ...) and then armor/helmet.

So sell the sealed sword?

Alright so I guess for armor I'll stick with my wolver soon to be skolver set, or maybe end up getting vog or skolver not sure which to get 1st. I havent had the chance to even do firestorm citadel yet but I definetly don't want my first set to only be good in firestorm citadel. As far as weapons I already have my cold iron vanquisher so that's covered.

Fradow:
So you're saying I should sell the sealed sword and then jump into tier 3?

Don't

No, i didn't said that. It's way too early for you to jump into tier 3, if you don't really know what your gear should look like. And even more for FSC, you would get destroyed (or carried).

What you need to do is choose which parts you want to keep and upgrade.

First, armor/helmet : considering your answer, it's wolver series, so you'll be a swordsman.

Second, your shield : choose one. Bristling Buckler if you plan to do lots of JK run, Owlite or Plate for everything else (read other subject on this to choose).

Third, your weapons : it's hard to give real advice without knowing how many slots you have. But, as you will probably be mainly a swordsman :
- Blaster is an okay side-arm. You might want to replace it by a Pulsar (eletric series)
- too many bombs. As a swordsman, the only real useful one is the Freezing one, because it is a great support weapon.
- too many swords. Choose one of each type (piercing, shadow, elemental), and perhaps keep the Cold Iron Carver, because it WILL be useful. Piercing is Snarble Barb, elemental could be your iceburst or a sealed sword upgraded to avenger, and the shadow one could be a sealed sword upgraded to faust. Cutter is considered sub-par (will get you eaten alive in tier 3 except if you are a pro at it).

So if you choose to keep the iceburst for elemental, you could sell one sealed sword and make the other a faust.

That's my advice, but feel free to do otherwise.
