New energy gate/danger room exclusive treasure box drop item: Low (rarely Med) UV ticket

The idea is to add to the energy gates/danger rooms (current rewards are poor and unsatysfying) treasure boxes a new item type - UV Tickets with predefinied type and a capped stage.

The tickets would come in three types:

- Weapon Ticket (Possible variants: dmg vs. x / attack speed increase / charge time reduction) - you would use the weapon ticket on Swords, Guns and Bombs (pointless stuff like ASI for Bombs would be disabled)
- Armor Ticket (Possible variants: normal / elemental / shadow / piercing / curse / poison / shock / fire / stun) - you would use the armor ticket on Helms and Armors
- Shield Ticket (Possible variants: normal / elemental / shadow / piercing / curse / poison / shock / fire / stun) - you would use the shield ticket on Shields

The stage would be definied when applying, a 90% chance for a Low and a 10% chance for a Medium - NOTHING MORE. The Tickets applying would work as it works with Punch, every Ticket would remove the previous UV and add the new one.

You know, I'm all for this.

You know, I'm all for this. And hell, just have it as a 1 UV general ticket but with a low spawn rate. Gives some extra special encouragement to do danger rooms.

Of course we'd all be for it, but that's if Three rings does it.

I'd like a golden box in the back of a danger room.

20% chance for armor
4% chance for a 1 UV ticket.

There'd only be 1 box, and it's only after danger rooms and last level arenas. Plus only 1 would drop, so only 1 can get.

Seems fair, but in the end it's all theory.

@Quotefanboy By kicking it could be possible for everyone to grab the 'golden box', increasing chances.

If there is only a small chance to get this then it's ok since an UV ticket costs 20k and i've seen some pretty expensive equipment drops from boxes

Sounds awesome. It would be a very interesting reward, and I basically never bother opening energy doors so this would be a great reason to.
And as a good reason for OOO to do it, it would make people use more energy.

Yup

I used to do every danger room I ran into, because they were so easy. Now I avoid them like the plague, because they have gotten a LOT harder, well, for me anyway.

Having this MAY encourage me to give them a shot again.

Few months later and i still

Few months later and i still find danger rooms not rewarding enough and obtaining the lower UVs not plausible at all when it comes to less used gears.

How is obtaining a UV not plausible? "Less used gears" obtain UVs in the same way as popular ones; if you see a UV on any item in the auction house, it's only because someone decided that it was worth ragecrafting or paying Punch to make it. You can ragecraft or Punch the items that you want. A 1-UV ticket is only around 1/7 the total cost of making a 5* item with no UVs; you can hardly claim that's outside a tier 3 player's price range.

How rewarding do you think danger rooms need to be? Assuming you can actually beat them, I believe they already generally give more crowns per CE and more crowns per time than most (perhaps all) regular levels at a comparable depth. What's your standard of comparison?

If we take Punch's prices as being vaguely representative of the intended values of UVs, then these tickets would either need to be so rare that you'd probably never get a single one, or else they would be a dramatic increase in the average payout value from a danger room.

Giving people random UVs entices them to spend more money than they would if you offered to sell them the exact UV they want. It's not rational, but it's true. So why should OOO go with an option that causes players to spend less money? What's the upside that we can't get in any better way that justifies this loss?

I'm having a hard time seeing any motivation behind this other than "I want more stuff for less work". How is this any better than a simple global increase in drops, and is there any level of drops we could possibly have where you would NOT ask for an increase?

And what's wrong with freeze UVs, anyway?

I didn't intend to ommit freeze, left it out accidentally, no need to get pretentious about that. The rest, i'm not even gonna bother responding as you are set in stone to be in denial of this.
