Is this caused by server lag or ping lag? Perhaps neither? (SOLVED)

I keep getting this strange occurrence when I'm running in the clockworks. When I make a lot of movement or, in some cases, only a little movement and come to a complete stop my knight feels like it's getting 'pushed' by an invisible force. Sometimes I'm almost pushed into spikes, and many times it pushes me right into and enemy attack. It looks like the server is compensating for lag and pushing me back or forward to try to readjust the lag time.

Has this happened to any of you? I just feel like posting it because it's been getting really bad over the weekend. As a side note, my connection is superb if not above average, however I do live in Philadelphia while Three Ring's servers are most likely planted in California.

lagggggg

Yes it is infact lag. Look at the top right corner of the screen. It will look like a bunch of bars if there is only a red pixel that means you are lagging very BADLY.

I think I addressed my own

I think I addressed my own ping's abilities. I stay consistently at full bars...

Is there anyone out there who can actually answer the question?

I've seen this happen often

I've seen this happen often enough on my screen. Usually when I'm on a less than stellar wireless network, so there's the occasional packet loss. In my experience I get less of the "pushing" around and more of an offset between where my computer is telling my my knight is and where the host is telling me my knight is.

In either case, when there's a lot of shifting arond with a full connection meter in the game it's probably a bunch of packets arriving out of order for some reason or another. I'm not sure there is anything a user can do to prevent these moments (already considering an optimised home netowrk).

Ah I see. It's too bad

Ah I see. It's too bad nothing can be done about it, although it is bearable. Thanks for the answer and enlightenment on the possible mechanics of the issue.

If its a matter of "late

If its a matter of "late packet arrival" such issue could be solved in the game coding (network) itself I think.
