So, I still have the lvl 0 blaster that u get when the game starts and im TIRED of it. So, as you can probably guess from the title, what blaster should I use?
It needs to be 2* as that's my spending limit.
2* blaster?
If you're more into swords or bombs than guns, then I recommend a general-purpose gun: Valiance or Supernova. Basically, they're general-purpose because they do normal damage. Read about them on the wiki, and get the 2-star or 3-star version of the one you want.
If you're actually into guns, then you're eventually going to want to own a piercing gun, an elemental gun, and a shadow gun. Read about the 5-star guns on the wiki, and get the 2-star or 3-star version of the one you want first.
By the way, even if you're playing for free, you can reach 3-star stuff pretty quickly. 4-star takes longer, and 5-star longer still, but you'll still get there. This is why experienced players tend to think in terms of the 5-star equipment. You may also want to read the wiki page on Damage, to understand how different equipment combines into an ensemble that is useful against a variety of monsters.
I don't think I'd recommend the Supernova over the Polaris. The supernova's shots are too slow to be much use against gremlins and beasts so going with an elemental gun on that line won't really be much more of an inconvenience, and will be much more effective against gun puppies.
Of course, both the Supernova and Polaris are pulsar line weapons, which means you'll either need a pile of CE to unbind one off someone, or good enough gear to run Roarmulus a few times.
As Nicoya, I would advise a Polaris over a Supernova. As a swordsman, elemental guns are the most effective.
You probably can't buy one yet, so go with an Alchemer right now (any except the shadow one should be fine).
I often play with three swords and no guns or bombs. Occasionally I wish that I had a gun --- namely, whenever I have to maneuver through a field of many gun puppies. Against them, an elemental gun is best. So there is an argument to be made for choosing the Polaris (in addition to what Nicoya-Kitty said above).
You might want to reconsider your sword choice, mainly because Spur doesn't go to 5-star. If you're going to go with a single sword for all situations, then the obvious choice is Leviathan. However, if you have an elemental gun (Polaris), then you should instead consider getting a sword of complementary non-normal damage type: piercing (Final Flourish or Barbarous Thorn Blade) or shadow (Acheron or Gran Faust). By carrying two non-normal damage types, you can deal huge damage to 4/6 of monsters, and moderate damage to the other 2/6.
Paulgt, you mean the Shadowtech Alchemer? That's fine! Although most people today seem to prefer Biohazard for their shadow gun, I think that you should pursue it.
Depends on your gear, but any of the Alchemers would be my suggestion.
Voltech is pretty beast.
Or the Autogun/Blitz Needle line.
