Cutter is not a commonly used sword for a reason, though. If you get good at it, cutter is fine. Otherwise you might want to try calibur or something for normal damage. It'd be even better if you got swords of all three types, but you don't have to do that quite yet.

errr with out context that question is meaningless. If I had to answer I would say Flourish, because that line is still in common use in T3. It really depends on the rest of your loadout & the roll you expect the weapon to play, not to mention your own personal skill/preference.

If you are only going to use 1 sword then a pure piercing sword is not a great choice (weak vs construct & slime). The cutter line is great at dps vs a single target, but takes more skill to handle crowd control. Also, I find the cutter line's charge attack useless because it takes waaaaaaaay tooooo loooooong to finish. Consider if you want the Final Flourish or the Barbarous Thorn Blade. Regular attack is the same for both, but the charge attack is very different. Final charge better vs single enemy, while the barb's charge is better for crowds.
