I'm assuming this is the same

I'm assuming this is the same thing I've seen before and I actually saw a thread about others seeing it and having this problem in the bug report section. To me it looked like a pulsars explosion but was red and never disappeared from the spawn location. In my game it happened when somebody killed me with a pulsar explosion but I don't know when it occurred in the other peoples games. I hope they can figure this one out and get rid of the bug because nobody likes not being able to spawn.

I have some shots of this

I have some shots of this from the game where Damon and I played together. The entire match essentially crashed on us, but we assumed it was something happening to the test server. (Or a GM being playful.) On the off chance it wasn't, here are some more specifics:

- The match 'froze' in terms of interaction. Points, other players, etc, all remained frozen, but could still move on their own screens for the remainder of the match.
- The Striker had infinite boost. (This was kind of awesome.)
- A massive, red orb appeared in the locker room - as noted by Skankingrove.
- Some points would be marked as owned by team yellow, but would show up on the map as team blue.

I took pictures and am happy to share them if OOO is alright with releasing them.

The event that happened to me

The event that happened to me (and apparently some other players since I found this issue in another thread somewhere) happened on the normal (not test) server. It seems to be a rare event with different effects on the games that it happens in. In my game there was no added effect besides the red orb in the locker room just being there. In the posts I've seen from others it seemed the only added effect was that whatever team had the orb in their locker room stopped being able to spawn.

I'm assuming the spawn problem came from the orb occupying the spawn location. This is my reasoning on this thought:

The red orb looked like a pulsar line explosion, which deals damage and knockback.
I think the knockback effect keeps the players from being able to spawn in the one tiny spot you are able to respawn in. Since the orb would possibly be dealing some constant knockback effect there is no way for the player to appear in that respawn point.

To add onto what Ruby stated,

To add onto what Ruby stated, after some points were captured, they appeared as blue, but the very center dot and the floating square that told which point it was appeared yellow.

I know one that I have had

I know one that I have had happen to me recently is that as a recon I stayed invisible for almost a full 3 mins even without holding the shield button was still invisible i could not attack anyone and they could not attack me either but they were still effected by the recon status affect. which was pretty kewl. this has happened at least 4-5 times in the last week or so. this is playing on the normal servers as well not the test servers.

The red orb of doom is NOT

The red orb of doom is NOT just in the test server- It's in the main game, too!

This red orb has been seen in lockdown matches for a while now- while somewhat rare, the usual thing that happens is that it keeps players of a team from respawning for the rest of the match.

It's been pointed out before, but clearly it was missed! http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/25602
