Hmm

I don't have that UV, but I believe max freeze UV should keep you from freezing. A max status resistance UV is about equal to an armor's maximum resistance.

I freeze people all the time that are half Skolver/half Vog. People in full Ash or Dusker freeze nicely too. People in full Skolver run through like they don't even care, which would be similar to your case. You can still freeze them using something like a Hail Driver though, which has Moderate Freeze.

I tried wearing 1 piece of Mercurial and walked into a Voltaic Tempest (Minor Shock, like Shiver's Minor Freeze) and got shocked for 4 seconds. And I think Polaris shocked me for 6 seconds. If I wore full Mercurial though, I should be able to resist Minor Shock entirely.

full divine waltzes through

full divine waltzes through voltaic tempest, comfirmed. Just be careful not to charge straight into the damage radius of the actual bomb.

More interested in knowing if two 5* trinkets will also bestow full invulnerability to minor status, considering people are saying that the bonus is less than from 5* gear.

I am putting claim as the first to discover that you can use one piece of skolver with a high freeze resistance UV to have immunity to shivermist buster in lockdown, this also applies to vog high fire and merq high shock, and can be used to mix and match for same effect.

I have Full Skolver Gear
I walk through Shivermist Busters as if there was no bomb at all. Then kill that bomber with the Barb in 2 shots.
Also its been said in some older UV tests that a Max Elemental UV can work better than a piece of the Vog set so...
Maybe not Wolver, but anything upgraded I'll say.
Search the forums for the UV thread cus i dont want to :P

I would have thought so, but

I would have thought so, but one piece of unknown information bugs me: the cap on individual pieces of gear. Going only by bars, a skolver piece gives you the maximum freeze resistance it can and further res on it won't have any effect- but going by stats it should work. I mean if bars were the end all it would mean weapons such as the triglav series are far behind in damage/swing compared to SS but that's not the case. Not too sure.

Boo bars

The weapon bars don't seem to reflect the damage/speed of the weapon, especially relative to other weapons or even weapons in the same class.

For armors, the amount of defense or resistance you can have goes well past the end of the bar. Not sure anyone has been able to find a maximum cap yet.

Yes. A friend, Homura, has max freeze skolver cap, and it is immune to shiver ( minor freeze ) in lockdown with just one piece.

@Xylka

If you followed the changelogs you would know that it was a bug that it gave so much, its been fixed since 2 months iirc, now it only gives half of that.

Ok so it is confirmed that

Ok so it is confirmed that max freeze uv works for shiver bombs, but what about high? medium even?
