but when i release it, why doesn't anyone get behind it and charge up their sword, instead they just ignore the vortex capability to suck in all mobs which gives the perfect opportunity for charged damage, they just rather charge right into the monster formation and be superhero'd instead :C

Because you party with noobs? I always charge up when someone drops a vortex, if I can.
I think people expect the vortex series to be a dps bomb instead of a support bomb, maybe. The knockback at the end of the detonation is a lot more dramatic than the actual damage it inflicts.
Is the Electron Vortex series useless in lockdown? I remember being so excited to trade my krogmo coins for this, thinking that finally I'd have a good sword/bomb combo... but alas, this bomb seems to hurt friend and foe alike ):
For whatever reason, some PUGs don't get the Vortex. Just explain that you are going to round up the enemies with the Vortex so that they can use a sword charge attack to kill them all at once. If they get it then, awesome. If not, eh, maybe the next PUG will understand.
Last time I tested, there was something very wrong with Vortexes in Lockdown. The Electron Vortex pulls in everything... friend or foe... making for some amusing/accidental kills/suicides. The Graviton Vortex doesn't seem to have any suction at all. I've /bugged it, hopefully it'll get fixed at some point. In PvE though, both bombs work wonderfully.

oh yes i think the vortex bombs are purely for pve only. in pvp might as well use something else.
