This is the third time i have died due to having no shield when i solo. I usually make the habit of equipping back my shield after every lockdown match. However, i cant do this all the time man. Its annoying me to no end. Yesterday i logged off right after lockdown because i needed to do something else. I log in today, join a party, went solo and bam, no shield. I tried refraining from creating a topic about this before, but seriously this needs some attention. Angry guy out!

One tip I could suggest for the mean time is to add a distinctive costume helm or armor to all your PVP loadouts (though make sure the costume item isn't higher tier than the rest of your gear, as sometimes it'll glitch you into the wrong PVP tier) so that you know at a glance when you're wearing it.
For example, I add my bombhead mask to my pvp sets, so whenever I see the sparky helmet doodad I know I need to change my gear before heading down.

@ Richy What are you talking about of course it a bug why wouldn't having your shield being unequipped after lockdown not be a bug.

I've had this little mishap
I've had this little mishap before, it's annoying but not enough to make me want to punch my screen. Nicoya's suggestion is great, I hadn't thought of that. Personally I just use seperate loadouts, I have a 'pvp' loadout and and a 'general run' loadout. When I'm done with PvP I just switch to my regular loadout. It's not too difficult though I don't know how much it would help. I do find changing loadouts a bit easier than scrolling through my inventory to reequip my shield.
I'm probably just restating the obvious though in hindsight haha...

If it's not a bug, it's bad design. Not restoring a player's shield after Lockdown has only negative gameplay consequences: It requires an additional player action before returning to the clockworks, and the consequences of forgetting to do so are annoying at best. It has no positive effects. Clearly, the shield should be restored after Lockdown. Yeah, one can say, "You should be able to remember to do it yourself," but that's kind of rude when the game could take care of it automatically. Don't blame the user for running foul of bad design decisions.
Fortunately, when I tested it just now, my shield was restored. Either they've fixed the problem, or it's a bug that only occurs some of the time.

I have loadouts for every situation I can think of. PvP Guardian, PvP Striker, FSC, T2 heat needed set, Bomber, Gunner, etc...
I don't even have a shield equipped in my PvP loadouts, but because I use the loadout function I have never entered the clockworks without a shield.

Just because you CAN work around it, doesn't mean we SHOULD.
We shouldn't have to make additional things when the game can just re equip your shield for you. Sure, you could just make a loadout for every situation, but people shouldn't be punished for not doing it.
It just smells like another way for OOO to get players to waste energy; by making them forget their shield when they go to clockworks.
