A piercing sword that does high damage against machines

I have absolutely no idea how much damage my twisted snarble barb does against machines?
We should all know that piercing sucks against machines, but while making my snarble barb into a twisted snarble barb it suddenly gained the most strangest special ability.
It says my sword does high bonus damage to constructs?
So what overrules what?
Piercing < Constructs
or
Bonus damage > Constructs
This must have been the most strangest stroke of luck.

Your sword sadly still stinks against constructs, I expect. The resistance that constructs (and slimes) have to piercing reduces the damage by something like 80%. There's no way your UV makes up for it. Sorry. But try it out for yourself?

My gigawatt is elemental, so obviously, it is naturally weak to gremlins/beasts, but in crafting I got a low gremlin uv.
I tested it on gremlins and beasts on the same floor, the damage difference between the two in mid tier 2 is barely 1 dmg on normal shots!
Most. Pointless. UV. Ever. (I dare someone to think of a more pointless UV)

there was a thread 4 this once, a long time back(like a month) i think it was in the arsenal, and some1 got a uv sleep max........on a shield!
also my friend got uv undead low on his silent nighblade..... but took it off wen he got his acheron, and re-rolled for a uv gremlin low :D

My friend once rolled a UV on an owlite shield that gave it maximum shock resistance (really pointless considering the owlite shield already has max shock), but managed to sell it for about 5k more than your average owlite shield XD

I have crafted 2 pieces of armor (not helm) with uvs that i use
First is my current miracle cloak, my first armor with a low sleep resist
Then i have my skolver coat with a MEDIUM sleep resist
Monsters dont even USE sleep

"Monsters dont even USE sleep"
If there's a sudden flood of Slooms, then that would be helpful, other than that, most useless UV I got, hmm
-High damage bonus vs constructs & a low damage bonus for gremlins
Weapon: Strike Needle
I've got a bunch of shock defense UV's though XD

Yeah, bad UV. Resists knock the resisted portion of the attack down to 20%, which isn't too bad on most swords due to half normal but rapier-types are pure pierce. 115% (assuming that's how much Medium UV is) of 20% is only 23%.
I also got stuck with a UV High:Slime Autogun once (Was triple-UV so I managed to sell for decent money). RJ killer maybe even though it'd suck for the stage?
It just means that the current damage it does is increased by a percentage against Constructs. I don't remember what it is exactly, but it's around 15%. So if you did 40 damage before, you would now do around 46 damage. =|
Oh, and you can go into options and change the settings so that you can see the damage you inflict on enemies.
