Sitting around fantasizing about how awesome the core could be inspired me with an idea for a new challenge that could be absolutely awesome.
The basic premise is this - you decide on a set of gear: your armor, shield, trinkets, and weapons, and then you must defeat every strata for each new gate as they come for a month without changing your initial gear set.
If you want to attempt the challenge with others, your allies must follow the rules listed and you can only play with three different players at most during the month. You can't rotate players in and out to get an optimal team for each new gate.
You can set a number of lives for yourself for each new gate depending on how difficult you want to make this challenge.
Other challenges can be added to this if you're feeling particularly brave.

My plan is to wear Skolver Cap, Skolver Coat, Crest of Almire, Divine Avenger, Vile Striker, Polaris, Voltaic Tempest, and two Elite Quick Strike modules. Still have a couple days before I attempt the challenge myself, and I might see about swapping some stuff around.
The gear you chosen is pretty much suited for any strata/gate, which makes it a pretty easy challenge.
Technically, i've started the challenge before you even made it since I don't plan to switch weapons. Here's my gear atm.
