I am about 15 tokens away from getting the Fang of Vog. I was wondering, does anyone know any pro tips or suggestions on how to effectively use the Fang of Vog (With a cheapskate type of layout? (No trinkets, no extra weapon slots, no DA or FA or Fancy 5* gear items))?
I understand that it is an "unfavored" weapon, because it causes the user on fire and has terrible damage rating for a 5*.
For me personally, I like unfavored weapons, because they turn out to be great weapons at the end. I am currently a Winmillion user, and I am looking forward for a new challenge, because I mastered all of the techniques of the winmillion very effectively (I am so good, that people think I hack! Lol!).
So...Are there any tricks in using the sword effectively?
Tips on using the Fang of Vog?
You need alot of fire defence and always be sure to collect remedys, i would not recommend using it in t3 since you need every health bar!
Everyone is telling me to use it for the special attack it seems like. But, does anyone know any tips on using the FoV for just regular attacks?
For example for the Winmillion:
You have to use this layout for it to be most effective:
1.) Winmillion
2.) Winmillion
= Swing, swing, shield cancel, switch weapons, swing, swing, repeat
or
This layout:
1.) Winmillion
2.) Argent Peacemaker
= Swing, Swing, Shield Cancel, switch weapons, shoot a bit (and at the same time step back to avoid melee attacks), then repeat
Like I want the FoV to be my primary weapon. What should be the best secondary weapon to support the FoV?
I know you said you are cheap, but with the resistance trinkets working you may want to consider cashing in those forge sparks for a couple of 5* wetstone trinkets.
Again the cheap thing, but those modules are freak'n great & they let you really take full advantage of hard to UV weapons. If you are not going to charge spam, I would put on full Vog plus and Elite Quick Strike Module to hit ASI Maximum and bring that FoV up to speed. I would throw in a BTS and an Elite Slash Module too for Sword DMG Bonus VH also while I was at it. Nice thing about the Fang is it can burn on any hit, so it could be a powerhouse with the ASI cranked all the way up and DMG bonus VH.
I agree with Bluescreen.
If you're really determined to use it, I'd do all of what he mentioned.
no1 i know of uses these advanced weapon switch techniques and ive only seen 1 person using a winmillion without even getting hit
im afraid u wont find the kind of help ur looking for
i dont remember my winmillion very well, but i think it had some knockback and since fov doesnt have much knockback on the 1st 2 hits, maybe itd work well with winmillion
fov has enough knockback on its combo, the radius of attack, range, damage and knockback increase with each hit so learn to hit once, twice or thrice depending on the situation and you are set. It is rather slow though so you cant forget to shield cancel.
The strongest thing about fov is that it burns on normal attacks. So hit the enemy 1-3 times then shield and move, if they are not on fire keep attacking, if they are on fire switch to a different target. If they can't catch fire you should have brought a DA.
Use charge when necessary and wear fire resist or have remedies if you do so.
The only "trick" to using it is that you should have fire resist gear.
But there's a reason its unfavored. As 5* swords go, it's pretty weak. Gladius and DA are better weapons. It shines during jelly king, but not really at any other times.
Use FoV in T2, stomp JK with it, steamroll arenas with it; don't use it in T3 - it's not worth it.
Generally just enjoy your ultimate blade of destruction in T2 and use something that won't make you lose your precious HP in T3.
