I have a Winmilion. I made it, and it was cool for a while, but then I stopped using it because it didn't seem good enough. But now I am hearing that there is a special technique to using it. So I wanted to know what the technique is so that it doesn't go to waste :D
I guess there are some Winmillion specific gameplay tips I can give you, although the biggest tip I can give you is to just stay away from it until OOO buff the line.
- I'm sure you know that the sword moves you more than any other sword. However, Winmillion has a longer shield-cancel time than any other (3 hit) sword, because you can't cancel during the movement. Unlike most other swords, you can only shield cancel at the same time you can normally move or attack again. The movement means you can attack to dodge, however, and this is a lot easier with auto-aim turned off.
- The charge attack can be cancelled at any point by shielding. If you do this before the projectile is released, it won't fire.
- The charge attack slash will only connect if the monster follows your knight on the backstep, or if you use it backed up against a wall. Don't rely on it.
- The charge attack's projectile can be re-aimed on the fly - it heads towards the mouse cursor at the moment it's fired. The backstep is always away from your knight's facing when you release the attack, and the slash always hits in the space your knight used to occupy. But the projectile, you can fire any direction you want.
- The projectile on the charge attack and basic combo is released slightly after the slash - if you're at point blank, dodging monsters will still get hit. It's a little hard to judge, and they might still dodge the projectile itself, but you can still get the slash to connect. Don't bother trying to combo any dodging monsters though, just use the first slash. They just avoid the rest.
- The total damage of the combo including projectiles is, unfortunately, lower than any other 4* 3 hit sword. For that miniscule range advantage, you pay about 20% of the base damage of an Ascended Calibur, even when both the slash and projectile connect.
- Similarly, the charge attack is weaker than any other I've seen on a sword that goes to 4*. The only sword it has an advantage other is the Troika line, but only because Troika swords take so long to charge (If they had the same charge time, they'd work out to more damage over time compared to Winmillion's).
