What exactly are they? where did they come from? They're ghosts, and yet we can touch and fight them. What where they before they died? I've heard vague meanderings about a "Kat tribe" that was wiped out by grimoires used to summon the grimalkins, but I've never really gotten anything concrete. Care to fill me in?

as far as we know the kat tribe got jealous of the owlites and took over their territory and eventually misused their magic into self destruction leaving wondering spirits kats and grimalkins
