Me and Pawn were talking about Danger Rooms, and how the only tough ones are the ones with way too many gun puppies that are OP and kill you. Instead of making a cheap DR with non unique things to kill you because you cant with any precision avoid their bullets, how about this:

A dark room with a candle in the middle. You have to fight a trojan and a sloombargo while avoiding the grimalkins. Done. Simple, yet clever. And you know what, if i died, I would LOVE to try it again. I can not always say that about some of the currents DRs...

Also, for practice, DRs should be available from haven.

o yea, and we both decided

o yea, and we both decided the following comments are invalid as a response to this:

"learn to play better, noobs." Obviously that comment just does not apply to us.

"learn to evade and dodge puppies better." ok when you have mastered dodging bullets that have imprecise splash radii and are coming from every direction possible, let me know. Arenas are one thing, some of these DRs are another.

yes

A more varied selection of enemies. Do more waves of managable but difficult spawns. Use trojans. Use toxilargo. Use slumbargo. Random slag gaurd.
Beasts and beast bells.

Find new and unique, or existing mechanics used in unique ways to make danger rooms difficult.

i like the idea

of danger rooms being their own little minigames. (in much the same way main boss battles are mini-games).

AGREE.

+1, +1, +9001.

Honestly, I'd love unique fighting situations in danger rooms, besides the run-of-the-mill situation where it's only you, an enemy, and maybe some spikes.

Spamming Mecha Knights is artificial difficulty. Spamming gun puppies is artificial difficulty. Overuse any one enemy except for a rare few and you have artificial difficulty. The game should NEVER be this way, but it is (arenas, anyone?). The usage of gimmicks and monsters that normally would exist in only certain levels is a good idea, a very good one.

...To be honest, when they said they were making new Danger Rooms, I was hoping they'd do something more interesting, like a room with the wheel shooters and the water from Firestorm Citadel.
