A few Questions to Pro FoV users. I just got mine today as a bonus to add to FSC cr farming
40 tokens in 2 days @_@ (i was sick on the weekend so i GRINDED.
Beforen i list questions heres my average equips:
Full Skolver
Crest of Almire
FoV (need to heat it)
Leviathan (replaced by FoV maybe)
BTB
WHB (yes its a main weap)
Polaris
Blitz Needle (ftw!)

I'm farming cr for UVs atm so yeah. Might craft a Faust soon or Magnus line
NOTE: I have no trouble in FSC. DA is out of the queston for now

Anyway, questions:
Which is better for FoV: ASI or CTR and why do you think so?
Would my Levi be ok to be replaced by my FoV? or should i just use both/ one or the other?
Other than FSC wher i WONT normally bring it (maybe for heat since im the gunner there) is the FoV useful? Could it be useful with ASI or CTR?
Do you prefer the FoV as one of your main equips?
It does nice split Elemental damage that i lack in swords; so is its damage per second greater than the brandish line weaponsor Calibur series? (this assumes the enemy is set on fire with the normal slash)
Will getting that 5* Wetstone trinket help me a lot? I 50% of the time get burned on the chage that i sparingly use so will that be visibly helpful? (now that trinkets actually work)

Sorry about spelling Im on my 3DS typing :/

~Xylka

P.S as you can see, it is my first elemental damage sword. note that

- Good on FoV is ASI cos even

- Good on FoV is ASI cos even the normal attacks set enemies on fire. I also noticed you're sporting Skolvers so if you lit yourself it'll be around 9 seconds of fire time (so CTR is kinda useless for you unless you ready to take the risk and packing a lot of remedy pills)

- As for Levi / FoV confusion, best to keep both

- FoV's CTR is beast against Royal Jelly

- Yes

- This is dependable. People will value one sword over the other

- Trinkets doesn't do squat. I remembered I have a Volc Plate Helm having already high fire resistance -AND- a UV Max Fire Resist. I still lit myself up

Trinkets have been fixed.

Trinkets have been fixed. Word is that a 5* is about equivalent to a med UV, and some testing at Basil and ATH indicates they do have a small but definitely noticeable effect now (a 5* wetstone shaves off about a second of fire time)

Then I better save some tokens. 2 5* Wetstones + maybe roll a UV on my armor that has a low Freeze resist which is worthless to me on skolver.
That should net me a Very High Fire resist + any UV I come across which in turn is about 2-3 seconds off fire on me. Not bad but ill need more.
Fire is Elemental Damage right? If so then a fire or ele UV will do. (Preferrably both :D)

Now can some more people post too? 1 piece of advice + stuff on trinkets isn't enough of an answer really.
If anyone else has a Question about FoV post it here.

//Which is better for FoV:

//Which is better for FoV: ASI or CTR and why do you think so?
I'd love to get asi. I currently use med/very high asi from trinkets/vog. The sword is REALLY slow, I recently used cold iron carver and I felt like I had double the speed. It's that slow.

//Would my Levi be ok to be replaced by my FoV? or should i just use both/ one or the other?
I keep both, fov being elemental does lower damage to some stuff, and being fire if that stuff is fire themed then even lower damage. Also in some cases you dont expect to get enough hearts to make good use of the awesome nuke charge. So a neutral sword fits perfect on a loadout when you want to run those levels.

//Other than FSC where i WONT normally bring it (maybe for heat since im the gunner there) is the FoV useful? Could it be useful with ASI or CTR?
I use fov FOR the citadel, being elemental it does extra damage to the zombies, and kills both trojans and the charge guards at vanaduke's in two charges (levi will take more). FSC has lots of hearts, so you'll always have a chance of using it. I prefer fov to levi there, but I dont have blitz needle which takes out the trojan role. I would still go with asi, ctr is great on every weapon, but many times I find myself cancelling the charge because the good opportunity I had was lost and I had to switch or something happened, and with CTR the charge would have been ready and I would have had to roll the dice and probably be set on fire. I would only think ctr is best is versus jelly king. Everywhere else you dont really need it since you won't be spamming it, but using it at specific points.

//Do you prefer the FoV as one of your main equips?
Yes. But it fits my items and I find fun to be on the edge of dying from constant fire or slow shielding :P but seeing a thousand numbers on screen and clearing lots of enemies in one spin, fov is basically free, so play with it some and see if it fits your playstyle. It will easily be your main equip on jelly king runs though, in fact if you have fov, a pill or two, and remedies your team can suck and you should be able to carry them through.

//It does nice split Elemental damage that i lack in swords; so is its damage per second greater than the brandish line weaponsor Calibur series? (this assumes the enemy is set on fire with the normal slash)
No idea, its charge does more dps, it pushes a bit less and does 4 hits instead of three, plus fire, but the regular swings no idea.

//Will getting that 5* Wetstone trinket help me a lot? I 50% of the time get burned on the chage that i sparingly use so will that be visibly helpful? (now that trinkets actually work)
I get set on fire relatively the same, there are times where every single charge will set me on fire, and awesome luck rolls where I can spam the charge and leave unscathed. I use only one 5* fire resist armor on jelly king (and it's enough, havent tried without, maybe you dont even need fire res there), and two on FSC (during bad luck rolls you need more resists though, but as long as your luck is okay and your team good you can live with only one armor piece).

There are many types of weapons and you can classify them with the roles they are best at. fov and blitz needle are nuke weapons. deal a lot of damage in little time. Fov will hit many enemies that are close to each other, blitz will hit them too, but with lower damage since the bullets don't pierce. So fov is better at aoe. fov is bad when you aren't using it's nuke ability, and the ability costs you hp, a good tradeoff. When you have the health to spare its better than other weapons, and when you dont its worse, so it's a good idea to bring other stuff to use when you are low on health or shouldnt lose it. For example when you bring it for jelly king runs, you can carry your team just because a nuke weapon excels against it. But all the slimes on the road are resistant and hearts dont drop as often so it wont be as useful to use it all the time, bring a shadow weapon too and you'll have an easier time.

The safe sword for fsc is a brandish or divine avenger, but they dont deal with slags and trojans as well as fov, since fov being a nuke weapon can take those monsters-that-only-give-you-a-little-window-of-time-to-damage-them easier than the safe swords. You already have a nuke weapon on blitz. For all nuke weapons, and all spin swords shivermist is a great option, and in this case also a safe weapon to switch to when you dont have the health to use fov effectively, and a weapon that is very useful on fsc, you don't have shivermist, so maybe you could use a glacius better as your elemental sword, or you could get shivermist.

I have FoV with ASI med (max

I have FoV with ASI med (max with full vog), its fun but i cant really use it as regular sword. I have combuster and i love it way more than FoV.

* FoV swings (not charge) does less damage than Combuster.
* FoV with ASI max is like Combuster without any ASI. It's really slow.
* The FoV's Charge Attach is really powerfull, you can kill trojans with one charge in Tier 2. For JK is so fun, makes him a joke. At FSC does 2000 damage (hitting 4 times), but doesnt have the Levi's knockback (spam).
* The annoying part is that gets you with strong fire (no fire resist can avoid getting you on fire). At tier 2 its 2 health bars with max fire resist (full vog + fire med uv), at Tier 3 its 4 bars... after a few charges you have your health lost.
