Absolutely needed feature: in addition to "tell player" option in context menu we need "send mail" option. When you send a letter to someone, you have to write their name each and every time. Selecting them from the "social" list would simplify the task greatly.

Why?
Why? I mean, there's no major downside, but cluttering up that menu is still bad; it doesn't make sense to add a dozen commands that no one uses.
Sending mail allows you to specify a text message and/or send an attachment. If you are able to click on the player, then you can do both of those things (without paying the mail fee) using "tell" and/or "trade". It's not completely inconceivable that someone would prefer to send mail for aesthetic reasons or something, but I think that's clearly outside normal use.
I could see adding it to the context menu for offline players in your friend list (if it's not already there, never actually checked).
