Tier 2 Freeze Traps... is it just me?

I was soloing a level in T2, I have no elemental resistance armor but no weakness. I accidentally stepped in a frozen trap... while I was at full health, then was proceeded to be chain immobilized until death.
What the frick? Am I supposed to know something I dont? Or are the freezing traps really that imbalanced.

Sadly, that predicament of yours is a tough one to escape.

Agreed. I think it should be a very minor freeze(like 2 seconds long) so that when the vent turns off, you can get free from the trap. I suppose some people would just say, "Get some freeze resistance, dude!" But that is kind of a work around.

This has happened to me
This has happened to me before too. Full health, green shield and I lagged onto the trap. The traps don't just freeze, they also do damage (like spikes would.) So I put my shield up, it ticks a few times then breaks mostly due to the continuous damage. The freeze lasts long enough so that you are still frozen when it turns off and back on again.
Amusingly a teammate came to swat at me to try to remove the freeze but died since they were rather low on health. Once revived though, you do have a few moments of immunity and can run off the trap.
I'm not sure there is any way to avoid dying once stuck, probably just need to be more careful and avoid lagging out in such an area.

Yeah, I got stuck on it, and shielded... but the shield broke. Freeze duration shouldn't last as long as trap cooldown time. Either make the trap cooldown longer, or the freeze duration shorter.
This is also the first time I got stuck in a freeze trap... I'm usually more careful, but mistakes do happen. Really all I would like is the freeze trap be nerfed like the mobs if you are soloing. If you are with a team, then one of them can free you/rez you. But if your solo... your screwed.
You should've blocked the trap. When you do you will be thawed and can proceed to inch away from the trap.
When your shield is busted though, I don't see what you can do about it other than using a blue pill.
