How are these wings? I thought it was weird that it was a head accessory.. but I wasn't expecting this.
Anyone know what the ACTUAL wings are called? :x

That's about what I'd imagine given the name, but then again that might be because of prior experience
Also it is much harder than I thought to find good sized images of mech heads.
My mecha knowledge isn't that extensive, but these "wings" do make the knights have a mecha look.. I suppose.
I couldn't find anything from my limited knowledge of gundam that resembles it.
But they do resemble something from a game I once played:
