I was wondering if you attached an accessory to a 4 star armor, and then later upgrade it to 5 star, will the accessory remain attached? (Just like UVs)

Technically, the 4* item does get destroyed alltogether to make the 5* item, so there should be an option when crafting to actually transfer the accesory.
IMHO at least.

I would say when upgrading,
I would say when upgrading, you have the option to transfer said accessory, like how UVs can be transferred.
Just my guess though.

Given the 750 CE cost of a
Given the 750 CE cost of a silver key, I would expect that accessories are meant to for spicing up the end game.
As such, I would not be surprised if the accessory would be destroyed upon upgrading.
The logic being that you would not spend 750CE "spiffing" up a 4* item when you would rather spend 50 more CE (800 CE) to make it 5*, for instance.
Given this, I would
a) Ask someone who has an accessory on a costume item which could potentially be used for upgrading (e.g. firebreak helm) to see if there is a transfer option
b) Contact a GM
c) Wait for more information to appear, like on the wiki.
they should only be removed (and destroyed) when you use the remove ticket, the game is very buggy right now tho, contact a gm if your stuff suddenly disappears :)
