So.. Loot.. Is it distributed equally or to the person who first picks it up? Does how many people that are in your party affect how much loot drops?
Thanks in advance

Loot distribution is randomized. It used to be round-robin, except that people somehow managed to game even that system, and now it's randomized. For some definition of random.
Thanks a lot for the answers, cleared everything up for me.
As near as I can tell, whoever actually picks the item up doesn't necessarily get it. There seems to be some some sort of automated round-robin system going on, or it's random. Player A may very well run over that Bronze Bolt, and get the little chime indicating that it was collected, but look carefully at the text that is reported to the chat window -- Player B may have actually received the item. So, for every item that is picked up, every party member seems to have an equal chance of actually "winning" it. This seems to have been done to completely and utterly eliminate all potential arguments and in-fighting over loot.
No, the number of people in the party don't seem to make any more trade loot drop, unfortunately. Just about one of the only downsides to grouping in the game.
For crowns, heat, and minerals, the game merely clones whatever a player picks up and places it automatically in the stash of every member in the group.
