I noticed this weird thing: Lumbers (normal/elemental attack) kill my Grey owlite shield (normal/elemental, lvl 10) with a single swing now. They damaged it heavily in the past but it always survived. Same thing with wolvers - they got a new attack - a single bite. Now they can bite through the shield (grey owlite and/or crest of almire) with 1 attack and land damage on knight.
I wanted to ask weather its a new feature, which was not announced, or if I missed the point when this was introduced. Or if it was always like that and my shield always broke when lumbers hit it and I didn't notice because, like, never got hit by them. My shield breaking was always a disaster for me since it took a while to recover but now it breaks easily and recovers fast...
I prefer shield the old way - hard and lasting, taking a while to recover, instead of weak and quickly repairing.
Although you notice this with your Grey Owlite, I think that shields need more health. When your shield goes down, run. If you can't (which is probably why you're blocking) you are screwed. Most of the time the shield doesn't push enemies back at the most opportune and critical moments, and it makes all the difference to your survival. Shields are underpowered, although realistic. But realism isn't balance.
