I realize your actual shield mechanic is changed during Lockdown; Stealth, Guardian Shield, or Sprint, but if I have a shield in the load out will it give me the status protection at least?

Best,

Well...

Even in PvE, the shield's status resist doesn't "work" unless you have the shield up. Since the shield is totally out of play in Lockdown, then the likely answer is no.

You should know - Shields

You should know - Shields dont give YOU resissts, just to the shield itself. So a fire resist shield breaks slower against fire attacks, but YOU won't brun less if YOU get hit.

Well that raises the question

I've been making. What is the point of stun, poison and freeze resist shields? Seeing as how they don't do any damage?

Hmm

Shields that have resistance to things like Poison should be able to better resist damage that has a Poison status. For example, an Isotrode (Poison Retrode) attack should be better resisted by a Grey Owlite shield with a Poison UV than by one without any Poison resistance at all.

How much it does, how important it is, does damage or status take precedence, etc... we don't really know. Shields are a pain to test. The easiest place to test is the Training Hall, but the status panels seem to provide "minor" statuses. Also the Hall is considered Depth 1 so there is equipment nerfing that is likely not representative of Tier 2/3.

Would be sweet if there was a Tier 3 Training Hall :) Or if we could test shields in PvP... See how Grey Owlite holds up against Magma vs Hail Driver.
