Unfortunately, we screwed up at the very end and missed our target of 1:59. Instead, we ended up killing him in 2:01. Our small team is planning to redo the run this weekend and hit that elusive 1:59 mark.
Vanaduke in 2 minutes
What does that even mean? Didn't you quit the forms? What ever happened to that?
Impressive, OP.
Yes, it does look a little suspicious at the end, I'll admit that. Vanaduke just disappeared without falling over. However, you can see the same thing happening in this video:

Edit: I don't have anything to hide, so if you think we cheated, I still have the high-res version of this video and I can upload it to a file sharing site if you want to inspect it.
sweet vid
i never thot of using vials to skip needle animation
Hooray! Always thought it could be done faster than the cheesy 2:30 vid. Like like like :)
this is fake video, you can see fireballs on vana spin faster and sword attack too quickly,
Pretty easy to notice the video is slightly sped up. But regardless, I notice two things in those Vanaduke speed runs that can largely improve the time if "corrected":
- Shivermist is likely unnecessary. With appropriate timing and maneuver a run with Blitz only would go faster, and wouldn't be much harder to perform.
- It's possible to defeat the mask phases in a single watering round. (basically, under 5 seconds) A charged blitz round followed by Leviathan Blades or Dread Venom Strikers would likely easily accomplish that.
Good job on the Vanaduke speed runs, although it's not really that difficult to pull off, and it's been done many times before. Getting a top speed time woulda probably be more about whichever party has the more patience to constantly run this strategy and record it, rather than actual "speed".

i've put the 2 videos side by side. personally i think the video is legit.
maybe Magnus and the Guild can do better?
@Tempsilk:
The video is not sped up. As Jimbob shows, the fireballs spin at the same rate as always. If you think the sword is too fast, there is this thing called "Attack Speed Increase".
@Biznasty:
What is your evidence for saying the video is sped up?
If things were sped up, everything would be--all the graphics, knight movements, etc. Point out where that is the case. Show it side by side with any other Vanaduke video like Jimbob did.
Nivlam does have the raw recordings if needed for the conspiracy theorists out there.
Why do people get so mad when someone does well? If your first reaction is something snarky to say, or some other derogatory statement.Then you should-
1. Take a step back.
2. Take a breath.
3. Calm down and go find something else to be upset about.
Seriously. Everyone's divisiveness and elitism is what has caused such a huge rift in a community that should be about HELPING one another. And that goes for several people that complain about that situation and then do nothing to rectify it. You know who you are.
My overall consensus is it was a fun video. So congratulations and keep up the solid runs. Good luck on shaving those 2 seconds off!
If this was "sped up," the game music would be sped up too.
Boss music starts at 0:04 and starts again at 2:12
Game files have the music lasting 2:08.
Posting this on the video too.
Nice job!
Great vid
Edit: @Kenny
Why the bump?
