Hey guys, im fairly new to the game and likeing it so far! very zelda-esque and always liked those old games. In any event id like to ask to share some of your knowledge with me, and possibly other newer players.
First let me explain a little on my history: ive played many mmos out there, and still play a few. i found this game about a week ago and was hooked ever since. in almost every game ive played so far ive always prided myself on being the guy who had all the answers on how to do.... well just about everything. and as far as ive seen so far, this game isnt much different then all the other games out there in one aspect: having the right gear!
So the question is, what gear is good for what situations and why?
EXAMPLE: What would be a good setup for someone who wants to primarily be a gunner? What should this person aim for when first starting out?
In what situations would this be good for? When is being a gunner a bad thing?
Im hopeing there will be responses for each form of weapon or hybrid players (swords and gunners, gunners and bombers, swords and bombs) and what kind of a gear setup they should use.
If thers already a thread like this i apologize, but could u point me in the right direction as to were i might find it.

Perhaps I will add some knowledge of how to start and upgrade a gunner because that's what I know:
TIER 1-2: 2-star gun, whatever cheapest 2* armor available; shield up to personal choice between the cheap to upgrade piercing shields (Jelly/Defender) or the elemental defense of Owlite Shield
TIER 2: 3* gunslinger armor, 1 additional weapon slot, 1 weapon of each damage type - upgrade starting with weapons
TIER 2-3: all gear to 4*, starting with weapons.
TIER 3: all gear to 5*, starting with armor. Usually upgrade to Nameless Set (elemental defense) or hybrids like Shadowsun+Nameless or Justifier+Nameless.
WEAPON TYPES:
Normal: Not recommended for a gunner
Mixed types like Argent Peacemaker or Sentenza: Not recommended for a gunner
Piercing: Magnus->Callahan or Autogun->Blitz Needle or Autogun->Plague Needle
Elemental: Pulsar->Polaris or (elemental Alchemer of Choice)
Shadow: Shadowtech Alchemer->Umbra Driver or Catalyzer->Biohazard
PROS:
1. Easily kite enemies
2. Continuous damage (as opposed to swordies who have to defend against retaliation)
3. Take less damage on average
4. Reportedly higher DPS than even sword specialists
CONS:
1. Best with at least 3 weapon slots
2. Weak armor set in terms of defense and bonuses
3. Low damage per hit
4. Hard to get out if cornered (could equip a sword, but it would be 4th slot)
