Something I (other people as well) have noticed about Tier 3 Lockdown (Tier 3 is the only one I have experienced, but there may be problems with 1 and 2 as well) is that there seems to be no balance system whatsoever. Way too often, I, a 4* player with a 5* weapon, end up on a team with 4* and 3* players facing off against a team of people with all 5* gear + UVs and Trinkets. What follows is an inevitable slaughter of myself and my team. What makes it even worse is that any given time, one of my teammates will leave (most likely due to frustration) or be AFK leaving us outmanned versus a much more powerful team. Being a novice programmer, I know that there are ways to match up players with lower gear to those with better gear. Why hasn't this been implemented yet? Rank is not an accurate representation because all one has to do is play a lot to raise their rank; whether they are any good or not makes no difference overall.

A better way to mix up who is

A better way to mix up who is on which team would be really nice. I second the "based on equipment" stuff, for all tiers. It's no fun for either side when it's just a stomp match.

Re: Rankings,
I don't know about the tier 3 players (at all), but the tier 2 ones high on the rankings are pretty good. Most of the top 50 from it are on my friends list because I love playing against them :) For those of you who do t3 a lot, are the guys at the top you recognize above average players?

I'm sorry. I meant basing the balance off of rank isn't accurate. I don't know if that's what they're doing right now, but if it is, it's not working.

I agree, this happens in any tier, theres unfair teams because of varied equipment.
Theres a problem with your answer, that is it take longer for random teams to be formed, as they will be more selective.
I think something reasonable will be giving players preset equipment so that no preparation is needed, like in Blast Network!
In blast network everyone has the same bomb, armor doesnt help in any way you still die from 1 shot, so theres balance and the winners are based on SKILL, LIKE THEY SHOULD!

It really shouldn't take that

It really shouldn't take that much longer to load. It's a relatively simple algorithm. But I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say that all equipment should be equal. That inhibits different play styles. For instance, some one may want to use a heavy sword with Striker or a light sword with Guardian, but if those weapons are predetermined, they can't have that choice.
