I am currently wearing:

-magic set (2*)
-prismatech alchemer
-cutter
-owlite shield

and hope to upgrade to the wolver gear as soon as I get the energy :) How high in * value should I go, what else should I get, & what advice do you have on the twins?

You're almost There...

You have the right lines to be trying for the Roarmulous Twins, but I'd recommend getting some more 3* gear (namely armor) before heading down. Most enemies in the Roar Twins dungeon deal Elemental/Normal DMG, making your magic set perfect, with a few Quicksilvers thrown into the mix to mess with you. If you do plan on using a sword as your primary then Wolver gear is a good idea. Your Owlite Shield should do you good as well, as it resists shock.

As for actually going down, you should go with someone who's done it before, at least the first time. Especially if you plan on going with your current 2*s. The dungeon is very puzzle based, as is the boss, and if one doesn't know what's going on, he/she could get killed pretty fast. Take a friend, and good luck!

For the twins, wolver gear

For the twins, wolver gear would not be an upgrade because of resistance type. I am going to contradict Streus-The-Avenger : you don't really need to upgrade your armor, because you shouldn't be hit that much in the first place. You should upgrade your shield first, because even owlite (which is probably the best choice for the twins) will break too fast as a 2* for the twins. 3* is good, you don't need 4* for the twins.

Else, upgrading your weapons should help too, but it's a good choice. Upgrading to 3* would certainly help make fights shorter.

-Get the Elemental Brandishes

-Get the Elemental Brandishes because you need DPS and Elemental damage for the Twins.
-Get Elemental Defense with Shock resist which means your armor, helm and shield is just perfect.
-You don't really need a gun for the Twins and as Trying said, if you upgrade Prismatech to Mk II, you will find the ricocheting bullets a pain.
-Go with skilled people and don't try to solo it unless you are sure that you can make it up to the Twins and defeat them.
-Get your gear to minimum 3* (for the boss 2* is enough, but you will need it for the rest of the level).
-IMF is really laggy so make sure you have the best connection possible or you will find that Retrodes can hit you even if you are far far away from it.

Weapons first, shield second, armor a distant third.

It should really be emphasized that the biggest contribution your gear will make in this fight is how much elemental damage you can bring to bear. Assuming you won't get one-shot by a random bullet, intelligent use of the barriers will obviate any minute advantages from choosing your armor type, and what gets by that is why you have a shield. Status-clearing/health capsules will go a very, very long way towards patching up any mistakes you make.

So yes, you'll want an elemental Brandish, the three star Fire/Ice/Shockburst variety, as according to your preference. If you have money left, upgrade to the three star shield, since that's your second line of defense. If you're going to be a swordsman, you'll want the wolver set eventually regardless of armor/resistances just for the weapon damage increase, and it'll eventually upgrade to Vog Cub gear for Vanaduke runs, presumably a goal subsequent to blowing up the Twins. But that gear should not be considered mandatory for this boss, and not done before you've gotten upgrades to your weapons and shield.

Huh...

Well, I'd love to run this if any one wants to get a party together! (Only once I upgrade me shield though :P) I'm not sure how far I'll craft, but right now, I really need money & energy to do it.

All in all, I'll probably just post on here when I'm ready to see if anyone's free or just run around town square yelling...

Try #1

- I just tried it randomly with my sad 2* gear XD we didn't even make it down to the twins! (however, we did get to the first level of the factory- ehem- living nightmare in 2*! Any others with 2* gear that thinks they can do this without upgrading, you are in for a biiiiiiggggg surprise)I think the group was experienced but again, my gear was really inferior to the 5* stuff they had so i felt kinda.... bad....

In the end it was just me and this other guy who was pretty nice & it got to the point where we just couldn't take the lag or the insane hoards anymore! All in all it was a great money run, so hey! maybe I'll have enough to fun my recipes now XD

PS. Thank You Bigfootm! I sent it!

Once you get a elemental

Once you get a elemental brandish - grab yourself a nightblade as well. It's not necessary to start with but then you can easily switch to it for the slimes/gremlins for damage bonus all the time. Plus once you master roarmulus it'll make your transition to jelly palace a little easier - there you'll use the nightblade as primary and the elemental as secondary. (and at that point you can upgrade your cutter to a venom striker)

Add me, too.

I am active in game between 15:00-20:00 GMT (convert that to your timezone). If you are in during those hours, then send me a friend request, just add in a reference to this thread, and we can make runs together, I'll show you around etc. Just make your shield 3* and we're set to go.

As for the 5* party you went in with and never made it, LOL. They just didn't know what they were doing.

Am I late?

For Roarmulus I normally bring a Nightblade (I HATE Quicksilvers and Gremlins), Shockburst Brandish and a 2* Demo Suit (As I up till recently didn't invest in the Magic series, so that was my only choice for Elemental resist though with the Shock resist it gives Magic set's probably preferable) with Owlite Shield. Haven't tried soloing him yet though.

It seems no one here has even

It seems no one here has even attempted RT with a cutter-type weapon... or they would have mentioned that the ghost strikes (the ones which follow a split second after your actual swing) don't hit the boss heads.

Cutter is a great item for the stages. It cuts up missiles easily due to its two-strike nature, letting you quickly navigate obstacle puzzles, especially the one on f15's right side where you have to move downwards from a party button. Quiksilvers and scuttlebots are easily interrupted by swings, so the cutter works well on them. For gremlins, you will have to start your sword combo out of range if you wish to knock the gremlin down before he swings. For mechs, you will have to wait until they attack; you can get a few hits in if they're charging, then shield bump them away.

An elemental sword will help you deal damage to the boss. Any sword works, actually, as long as it can deal the full damage to the boss, tosses out flourishes and cutters. 3* and above is preferred, as 2* and below deal reduced damage in the 4th stratum. I prefer to use a shadow sword, so that I deal full damage to gremlins, and bonus damage to slimes.

Prismatech does nice damage in this dungeon, but ricochet will really screw you up. Don't use a ricocheting gun of switches are part of your current area. Pulsar is my favorite weapon, because you can use it to deal damage with its slow bullets while approaching the boss heads. Consider getting one with your tokens afterwards; in my opinion, it's the best Bark Module reward.

Bombs don't do much. But I keep one around for when I have nothing to do.

Your owlite shield and magic set are the best defense you can have for RT. They have elemental defense, and shock resist.

My IMF equips are as follows:
Dread Venom Striker
Polaris
Gran Faust
Ash of Agni

Volcanic Demo Helm
Deadshot Mantle
Barbarous Thorn Shield

Elite Bomb Focus Module
Elite Quick Strike Module

My armors are weird because I honestly don't care about them.

@ Halifax - I use cutter line for RT reguarly

- I actually always take my vile striker to the twins. Great for clearing rockets and the speed on the weapon makes it extremely easy to be precise on switches. And although the ghost swing doesn't hit the twins, RT is the one place I use the striker charge attack (and if with a party, the poison helps for quick damage unloading. 10% boost can be just that little extra.)

- I love my cryo driver, but alchemer ricochets are pretty horrible in the factory. The pulsar line is the best for use in the factory, but you have to clear the factory to get it so there's that. I agree with Halifax that you should get a pulsar (even just to 3* for running the factory.)

- I don't have a brandish myself, but I see a lot of people use it for twins and it works well. I have an avenger because I did it backwards and worked on Jelly before Twins (makes twins seem really easy in my opinion.) Another reason for the striker... maybe it's just my skill, but does anyone else have trouble getting their avenger charge to hit a downed twin? It seems like half the time I get pushed away from the twin slightly, no damage registers, and just the projectile hits (and I curse the screen.)

- Agree with others that elemental defense is the way to go... and owlite shield... My normal weapon loadout is vile striker, avenger, polaris, and master blast bomb.

Why the bomb? A great trick that a guildie taught me. In the last room before going down to the twins you have the switches and 3 spawn panels. With 4 people this fight is absolutely trivial, but solo it can be frustrating. But if you have a damage bomb with a good radius (nitronome line or DBB line), before you step on the button, drop bombs right outside the switches and you can clear the majority of the blocks manually. Makes the fight much shorter and simpler. (Even if you have 3 or 4 people.)

- Finally, at the fork in the road, I think you should always go right instead of up. (Although when I PUG the factory, people always disagree and state up is preferable.)

P.S. My char name is also Malhaku if you ever need a friend for doing a run.

fork!

Yeah, about that: You go right. But also take the pot from the spawn box before that party button and throw it at the switch on top. If you do it right the missiles will switch from top to bottom to lefto to right, and won't bother you at all.
Unfortunately in most PUGs, people will ignore me, and proceed to get (a lot of) damage from the last wave of missiles :(
Fortunately, I mostly do runs with my guildmates, all of which are extremely competent and/or don't ignore the more experienced players.
