How much do you play in an average week: In a week? Generously about 15 hours, more realistically like 10.
Gear/loadout/preferred playstyle: Well, I'm in 3* gear across the board now and just scooping up pieces of essentially a fulltime swordsman loadout. In the process of gathering all the necessary blades and support items for everything and 4*ing the right items.
Do you have Skype: I do not, I used to use Vent for WoW and FFXI
Why do you want to join Aurora: Well, I've not joined any guild so far in my play and realize if I want to have a better time playing I'd best find some nice people to play with. It helps that Spiral Knights seems to cater to real teamwork for the sake of fun rather than just gear like the big time MMOs. As for why Aurora specifically? Well, your post was well organized and showcased some appreciated humor and seems to want to include people. That got my attention.
Favorite pokemon? I'm hugging everyone that says Pikachu <3: My wife is the one who likes Pikachu, I like Garchomp personally.

Depending on how busy the day is, I usually play/chill on Spiral Knights for at least 5-7 hours a day.

Armor - Ash Tail Coat (occasionally wear the Salamander suit with Ash Tail as costume)
Sword(s) - I switch between Silent Nightblade and Vile Striker depending on enemy types

As for my playstyle, I lean more towards being on the defensive, backing up to charge attacks, finding ways to flank enemies or shield-bumping them away to protect teammates if possible. Friends and teammates are my top priority though so if any are down on the field, looking for ways to revive them is the first thing I will try to do before anything else.

7. Why do you want to join Aurora?
I've often wondered what it was like to be a part of a guild, and I was attracted to Aurora simply for the great first impression I had while reading through the description. I found it to be quite casual and more welcoming than some of the other guilds around here. I am quite the loner when it comes to expeditions and large groups, save for one knight whom I place a whole lot of trust in, so I too am trying to improve my communication skills. Despite my shy nature, I do enjoy helping others! I saw this guild as an opportunity to further enhance my experience on Spiral Knights for the short amount of time I've been here, and I'm hoping I could do the same for others. :)

It's been so long since I've played/talked about Pokemon, but my favorite may have to be either Suicune or Skarmory.

Armor/Helm: Ash Tail.

Gun: I never use guns.
Bomb: I often switch between the Fiery and Freezing Atomizers; depends on the situation and the cooperation of my party. Sometimes use Master Blast Bomb, but only when I solo.
I usually play offensive, like every other swordsman I shield bump and flank enemies. I never go without a bomb; I often take Freezing Atomizer to keep enemies still and land a charge attack with my sword. As for teammates, I'm willing to share health capsules and revive when you need to be as long as you contribute to the team in some manner and not act selfish or arrogant.

7. Why do you want to join Aurora? To be honest, I never planned on joining a guild, but a very nice friend I've been playing with for a long time considered joining one. I decided to follow in step because I don't want a certain someone to be lonely. XD I don't mind joining at all because the description sounds pretty welcoming and friendly.
