Hi I asked this question in the newbie section but didnt get many answers.

Anyone know if there are limits to the stats items can carry? Ie. if you have so much increased attack speed or increased damage, is there a point where it doesn't add up anymore?

Also, whats your opinions on a UV of increased attack speed low? I have one on my striker and am wondering in terms of raw dps how useful this bonus really is.

Not 100% certain

I believe (but am not completely positive) that there are caps. In your particular case with the striker attack speed UV, is the speed meter capped at increased attack speed low? I actually happen to have a Cutter series weapon with an Attack Speed Medium Increase UV and it's at the full ten bars. Based on my recipes, the series doesn't normally go that high on its own.

On the other hand, I *think* the sword attacks faster while I have the swiftstrike buckler equipped but it's hard to tell for certain. I'll probably test with a friend later.

Edit: Also yes, that is a good UV. It's a keeper unless you want to sink a lot of resources into trying to find a better one (higher attack speed or damage bonus).

Thanks, if you do experiment

Thanks, if you do experiment with the buckler let me know. Also perhaps you can try to measure the amount of dps it adds? If i get my hands on a bare striker perhaps I will give it a shot as well.

There are 2 caps

There are 2 caps:
There is one for bonuses (whatever increased: Maximum)
And there is one for swords (striker and the like don't go past a certain speed)
