I have the magic armour set and I'm wondering if I should get the chaos set, the divine set or the grey feather set?
One question on the magic armour alchemy path
Don't get the Chaos set, it's a noob trap.
Grey feather is good, useful for Roarmulus and Vanaduke levels, though you'll be hobbling around stunned quite a bit if you have a habit of tanking trojan or lumber hits. Protip: don't tank trojan or lumber hits.
Some people like a combo of Divine Veil and Skolver Coat for an all-around set with good status resists. A pure Divine set will leave you without any normal protection, which isn't a good thing.
Thanks for the advice I was thinking on the divine set or would it be better to have the grey feather mantle with the divine veil
Divine Set is going to leave you very vulnerable to Normal and Piercing (it makes an awesome costume however!) In T2 that will be rather annoying because everything does at least half Normal damage there, but T2 isn't really that hard after you've tried T3. In T3, however, you'll need to be especially careful around Trojans, Gremlins, Beasts, Jellies and Vanaduke's mace.
If you go with a mixed set you'll have an easier time with no protection only against T3 Beasts and Jellies.
One other idea... unless you are really keen on getting the Fire/Shock protection of Grey Feather, you might be better off looking for an Armor with a bonus for your favorite weapon type... Mad Bomber, Vog, Skolver, Nameless, etc.
You can pick any normal+piercing armor so you can cover all 4 bases.
Haven't tried this defense spread, so your mileage may vary.
I already have the the full magic set and the elemental cloak recipe so I am wondering if divine veil and grey feather mantle would be good.
P.S. I have a piercing resist low UV and a fire resist low UV just to let you know.
Not Chaos, definitely not that. Divine Mantle is good, it provides a lot of defense from... a lot of monsters and Curse, a very powerful status effect, which makes using the Gran Faust even easier.
Divine. Definitely. It gives elemental and shadow defense,
and it has 3 status resists.
