"All Knights have a Tank that Holds 100 Energy"

I have been struggling with energy like most new players. Since I have little real world cash I have no choice but to wait for the tanks to fill.. that's beside the point really.

My account appears to have a three knight capacity. Having made three knights and having read the wiki, I expected each knight would have a 100 energy tank.. but if what I'm seeing is true and it's not some bug, it looks like my three knights are sharing one 100 energy unit tank; when I use energy on one knight the other two knights lose the energy. This would be extremely stingy if this is intended and not a bug..especially in light of the assertion made in the wiki that each knight gets their own tank.

My suggestion is that this be changed.. each knight should have their own 100 energy tank seperate from others.

thanks,

Well, I can't be a paid customer... that's the way it is. I'm not trying to farm..I have three slots for knights - I want three different names with different identities. but OMG this is more stingy than I even first imagined; I let my cousin log in as a "guest" to try it and it reset my 50 energy to 2. golly, this sure stops abuse... I'm thinking it will stop me playing all together. As far as crafting goes there are other ways to control abuse... one which is already in play - which is you can't have enough energy in your mist tank to craft most things with 3 stars and higher without buying crusty energy or whatever it is... so it looks like I can't really craft anything that great either.

It was an interesting experiment in online gaming..

thanks,

lawl you didnt read the fine

lawl you didnt read the fine print wiki.spiralknights.com/Energy_faq
All knights on the same log-on name will always share the same Energy.

they prevent the abuse of alts as people are more often than not cheap and won't buy energy if they can just hop onto a different character with a full tank of ME.

That would end SK

the reason why they share the energy is because it prevents mass crafting.

Example with seperate ME:
Account A, B, and C use their energy on clockworks runs. Then B and C will trade with A all of their rewards. Rinse and repeat.

BTW dont feel bad. I cant buy CE either.

I'll admit it, I tried this

I'll admit it, I tried this method myself. Didn't work. I was a bit sad, then went back to my main account and haven't used my alternate since.

Fortunately, I know no one will ever want his name...

Are you serious?

Waiting so you could be able to play is a real slap in the face, i'd rather have 3 energy mist tanks for my knights and level them all instead of leveling only 1 knight. What do you mean by abusing alts? It prevents USING alts at ALL-they are not necesary! CE should be a luxuary for the guys who want to concentrate on one knight and have him leveled faster...

The reason Varja brought up is not real too, because all accounts from one computer have the same energy, you are not able to have 3 accounts yourself, and if that happens from 3 diffrent computers, then its a legit trade because 3 people who are in the process trade betweet eachother, wich is good for everyone.

3 mist tanks equals 3 runs through the clockworks with a bit of extra... one could pool the funds it generates into one knight to accelerate the knight's development. just because u want unlimited free time doesn't mean its the right thing to do

CE should be a luxuary for the guys who want to concentrate on one knight and have him leveled faster.
no so much if you are going to never pass t2 u need that luxury to get 3* equipment and beyond for all your knights, even if u slowly level each knight.

all accounts from one computer have the same energy, you are not able to have 3 accounts yourself
incorrect all u need to do to separate accounts (not knights) from each other on the same computer is to drop some money and buy some energy from OOO for each account used on that computer.

if u can't scrounge up $2.50 for each account than there's only thing to do buy CE via crowns and do clockwork runs for more crowns

Its possible to have 3 independent mist tanks by having 3 different accounts and purchase any minimum amount of CE for each account. Doing so upgrades the account status to "paid customer", allowing an independent mist and exemption from several sharing restrictions enforced on free accounts. Having 3 free accounts on 3 different computers is just technically possible, and DOES NOT make it any more legit then trying to farm 3 accounts on the same machine... your grasping at straws, and you know it.

Also, given the structure of equipment and character progression, theres absolutely no benefit to having multiple characters unless you actively operate in 2 different guilds, or share the account with someone else. Genuinely operating 3 characters increases the cost almost 3 fold, and consumes additional time and energy to heat level equipment verses focus leveling 1 item on your normal runs. Instead, most people would just use the extra mist to do T1 runs, and send all the loot to a main in order to boost advancement without having to rely on CE. Thats decreased revenue, with an increase in server operating costs due to the continuous load.... not good for anyone involved except the cheap skates.

Your only mad because you don't understand the intentions of the energy system as a whole. The approach is an alternative to the Cash shop system used by most F2P games, and instead meters the game play at a consistent rate rather then make players increasingly more dependent on the cash shop the further they progress, or attaches a high maintenance cost to your current progress. Your energy consumption reflects how much you use the game (and by extension server resources), and are granted an allowance that equates to roughly free 2 hours of game play every 24 hours. The Energy cost attached to crafting is made to weed out serious players who are capable of contributing to either the economy (by being a part of it) or the CE market (by purchasing CE), from the free loaders who don't contribute to the trade market or refuse to spend real money to help support the game.

Once your past the initial confusion, the system is surprisingly fair. You are given enough mist to conduct a modest play session, can use CE if you want to binge, and still make enough profit to participate in the game economy. In fact, the only time an energy shortage is a problem is if you waste it on constantly resurrecting yourself on a run. Obtaining CE needed for advanced crafting only requires a moderate amount of time if your only using ME for the elevators. Your only penalized for making bad decisions, or if you try to abuse the system for personal gain.
