Working the CE Market
Could this, by extension, mean that supermarkets are crime organizations? How dare they sell at a higher price per unit than the wholesalers to make a profit!!!!!!
I like to do some trading on the energy market while i'm waiting for the arena levels to roll round. Its easy money while you wait and on occasion I have made 3 or 4000 crowns during a day's play.
It certainly can't be considered an exploit as the market interface seems specifically designed for this kind of activity.
Leaving high/low sell/buy bids when you log off may also reap rewards while you aren't playing.
Capitalism and clockworks! Awesome :D
I've done it a bit.
I wouldn't really call this an exploit, buying low and selling high is real life too.
Also its pocket change really...you make a few crowns here and there, and pull out when people add or subtract too much for you to make any profit. You can always try again later.
You stop to consider that Power Surge weekends are an outside influence on CE market that has much much greater, longer lasting negative ramifications on our CE prices?
Power Surge weekends have never had any long term effect on the CE market, at best they have an impact for a few days.
So why would OOO want to eliminate player driven artificial price hikes?
Again, arbitrage *lowers* the CE exchange rate for a large chunk of the players. See reply #18.

1. People who do not know economics misunderstand the effect of the OP's actions
2. People like Hova who whine about CE prices will always refuse to understand
