The Gate Construction Stratum Boxes should contain a chart showing the ratio of minerals it contains.
At the moment there are just the numbers, but it takes players too long to compare them.
So there should be a pie chart or a bar chart, so users can easily see the ratio for the strata displayed.

... because highlighting of the top 3 minerals wouldn't show the ratio. It would just hint in the direction of the ratio. Humans can estimate more precise by viewing a pie chart or a bar chart.
Also, the colors you suggested are already in use for the actual numbers and correspond to the associated minerals. Therefore "Gold, Green and Red" would confuse people. So if the developers decide for your - much simpler - approach, they should at least choose a different way of highlighting or choose different colors (e.g. different shades of gray). However, I do not support your modification of this suggestion, because it would not be helpful for me. Instead, I hope the developers will ignore what you wrote and implement my original suggestion, even though it means more work for them; IMO it would be well worth the effort.

It would be hard to do this by hand, but it shouldn't be too hard to wright a simple algorithm. As much as I like math, I hate having to take so long just to decide where to put my minerals to get the highest chance of the stratum I want.

it would be very useful for the strategic gate-constructors.
But i would like a chart that show the formulas for the stratums at the terminal. sure, you can check it from the mineral guy, but that takes to long (i can't even see the construct formula with the text box in the way!).

Super necro bump because this is a great suggestion (and I was going to suggest it myself!)
There are a lot of ways to fix this. And it can use a fix since squinting at the numbers with seconds left is bothersome.
Sort the numbers from highest to lowest, or provide a spark chart, or have the more prominent numbers glow, whatever. Right now the display offers no visual cues.

150 each isn't a lot. I've successfully changed them, but I'm dumping over 300 of a single mineral type into a stratum that isn't close to complete.
I do like the suggestion though.
Why not just highlight the top 3 minerals with Gold, Green and Red.
