hiho, i had an idea how to make this game more interesting..for ALL players
i dont play this game too long, but theres one thing i would like to see when i get stronger

well, ill try to explain it, if you have any questions or something, just ask

We have guilds in spiral knights, yes and we have a guildhall in spiral knights, yes, but thats it!
i had the idea of creating 5 different guildhalls..or even 10

what do i mean by 5-10guildhalls? all guilds which get created start with a level 1 guildhall, they are small and dont look too nice
if a guild wants to have a cooler guildhall, it needs to do pointwars..in those pointwars 4 or more people can form a group and start the pointwar
you get transported into an area where there are 3-5 stages...in each stage there are monsters..each stage gets harder of course
at the last stage theres a boss, which is pretty hard to kill

anyway..the faster you are..and the more monsters you killed..the more points you get from those pointwars
..you can only do 2 pointwars a week

with your points you got from those pointwars..you get into the level 1 guildhall list
if you are one of the best 5-10guilds of all level 1 guilds..you get a level 2 guildhall..which looks better than the level 1 guildhall

now the case is..there can only be 5-10 guilds on level 2..and this amount get even less..the higher guildhall level

now..if there can only be 10 level 2 guilds..only 5 best of the pointwars get the chance to fight/become a level 3 guildhall
the rest, has to defend their level 2 guildhall..vs the 5 best level 1 guilds..who had most points in the weekly pointwars

those fights happen either outside of a guildhall..or inside a guildhall..bud id prefer it to be like a big area, where you have to take over some points..or destroy the emblem of the enemies..or or or
you have to beat the enemies in a perioud of time to get their level of guildhall

this thing would be named, siege wars..and it would be held each weekend..and ofc everyone would like to have the number 1 guildhall one day..cause it also means..all players would get an symbol ingame..next to their name..it could be stars for example
3 stars for a 3th highest guildhall..2 stars for the 2nd highest guildhall..and 1 star for the highest guildhall

ofc there can only be 1 highest level guildhall..and the guild which has the highest guildhall level..doesnt need to do pointwars..they can only defend on weekend their guildhall

thank you for reading everyone..i hope i was able to explain everyone what i mean..i know its a bit complicated..but everyone who understood it..will like my idea i hope
this idea could result in an endless fun of the game..every weekend 100000s of people would come online at the same time just to do those siege wars

Yeah when i started reading

Yeah when i started reading the pointwars thing.. I stopped reading :P. The idea initially seemed good though, the part with the guild halls improving, that would give the game a whole new layer. I suggest a revision on the way of improving them though. I suggest the guild versus guild parts in the events (or maybe even a completely guild versus guild event) would reward the guild leader(the founder) with guild points/guild funds and they can buy different furniture, guild hall areas, and other stuff. That way, guilds would strive to be better for a good reason and players would also strive to get better for a good reason(to get into stricter, elite guilds).

a similar system like this exists in another game
i always loved to do pointwars :O

Imo, it should have guild

Imo, it should have guild cooperation to improve the guild hall and it should be something relevant to being a guild. I dont get why it's called point'wars' when you're just up against monsters. Just because it worked on another game doesnt mean it would fit in SK and because it's from another game makes it even less possible to get into SK.

Having guilds compete for a

Having guilds compete for a limited number of guild halls is discouraging to smaller guilds by virtue of numbers. And the system your describing for sieges is akin to dungeon ownership in Rappelz (korean MMO), where during the week, guilds would run time trails in your dungeon, and the guild with the fastest time would be able to PvP siege it on the weekend. The problem was that there were only 15 or so dungeons, and only the highest level guilds had any real chance of competing for anything above the first dungeon.

A workable system for SK would be to implement a guild-only PvP with a new clockwork map unique to the mode. During the weekend, guilds would fight matches over interconnected outposts, to link an elevator path to some kind of reward level(s) or energy source. If anyones played Global Agenda before, you have a rough idea at what I'm getting at. And if cold medicine isn't making me completely delusional, we could easily take advantage of the shifting nature of the clockworks to make a self-modifying map with predictable movement, allowing guilds to plan what outposts they need to control, and when they need to own it. The hard part is figuring out what to make them fight over.
