Can you transfer UVs from one item to another? The wiki states you can transfer when upgrading, but do you have to keep the UVs on the same item?

By "Transfer" it means that you can keep the UV when upgrading the item. Rather be a poor word choice :) This is common because people will get a UV they like at 2* then upgrade it to 5*... keeping the same UV all along the way.
There is no way to transfer a UV from one item to an entirely different item though.
