So I was just thinking, seeing as guild Lockdown is totally dead, why not schedule matches on the forums? Not a terrible idea I think. Maybe someone like Bigfootm could run the thread that would handle it. Someone both well known and good at LD, anyway. (Note: I have no idea what Bigfootm's playing level in Lockdown is, but he is probably the most frequent poster on the forums.)
Guild Lockdown
"I have no idea what Bigfootm's playing level in Lockdown is, but he is probably the most frequent poster on the forums."

WRONG!
.. even if you set up a fight right now with another guild, you may end up fighting against a random group.
We need an option to make guild wars or a tournament.
@Debianlinux: Well, you may be right. And yeah, a tournament would be really cool.
So! Who wants to register?...
I think that until OOO allows 4v4 guild matches and provides a more clear waiting number (# per tier and # of guilds for GvG) nothing will be simple...
Guild lockdown is dead because noobs (like me) only have a chance to win when they play random and hopefully get to play on a team with good players. Not to mention the ridiculous advantage the players with the best uv's have. If you want people to play with you, they have to believe they have a chance. And don't get me started on the payout for winning, which is a whole different story. Why do you only win 40 percent of your entry into lockdown. Where does the rest of it go? That is what ultimately made me stop playing. I can't win 3 out of 4 matches for eternity just to make 40 crowns profit per 4 matches.
I can't win 3 out of 4 matches for eternity just to make 40 crowns profit per 4 matches.
If you win 3 out of 4 you also get a bare minimum of 7 tokens (supposing nobody bribed Krogmo), since 75 tokens get you a mod calibrator that will sell for way more than 7500. Each token thus gets you at least 100cr... so now, you've played 4 matches and won 740cr, plus, you had a great time !!!
Sorry but I think that's already a great deal, I wouldn't ask for more...
However, I don't see a link with GvG.
I thought guild games where a fabled myth they tell little knights when they join.
This does not seem to work. Don't think there's much players can do about it - there need to be changes made to the game. Like allow smaller teams. Or to open up the guild teams for friends to join. Or allowing guild teams to play against random teams, if there are no other guilds as opponents available. Or anything. Something! -.-
edit: yay double post. sry, I swear I only pressed once. :D
they should make it so that your guild team can play random teams until some other guild forms theres and have ringers fill in randomly if you don't have six. this way you can almost always get a game going. this is probably never going to happen though.
@ post above. The idea of Guild vs Randoms has been suggested, and it's terrible. Let's say it's a 4v4 or something. In this corner, the Random's side, you have 2 experienced LD players, one guy who doesn't speak english and so cannot understand their commands, and a rage-quitter.
In that corner, the Guild team. A pre-made team who has some form of co-opperation and can even have Ventrillo or TS or whatever to be able to convey messages to eachother with ease!
....yeah.
that's better than not playing at all.
One solution, until they allow 4v4, is to take part in the Guild Lockdown Tournament !!!
:D
There is currently a guild lockdown tournament going on with eight guilds. They are involved in the thread above.
Currently no other guilds are allowed entry because deadline is close. We are hoping to make a wiki page to score these results and have them posted up for ppl to see. Currently it is working because cooperation of other guilds are also linked to each other. Now the thread above will explain everything.
It was very nice to see at some point yesterday 24 people playing GvG and about 12 others waiting !!!
What's your TZ Ufana, on the week-end, thx to the tournament, there were players at many different times (I'm CEST and managed to play 2 GvG games, which didn't seem easy at first since most of my guild is EST or PST).
"Guild Team:
Open up slots for yourself and guild mates to battle another guild team (or random team if none are available)."
Given that this statement is false, why is it on the wiki?
So you have an idea and you'd like to see someone else implement it.
