I'm pretty sure we've all felt this before. We try to sell something at the Auction House, Haven 1 and the Trade chat, but we spend countless hours failing to sell something.

In this case, I'm trying to sell an Avenger but nobody wants it. If it's such a good weapon, why won't anyone buy it? I've been at this for hours and I can't sell it. I'm going to rage into oblivion if I can't get it done.

So now it's time for you to tell us all about your rage-inducing experiences at the Auction House/Trade Chat.

The reason is simple: there

The reason is simple: there are much cheaper ways to get that weapon.
The 3* item is basically "free" since it's probably the primary reason to spend jelly tokens. Then upgrading to 4*.. 300/400 CE + around 15k cr = 600CE total, or actually less. Heating doesn't take so long.
Why pay 1800CE for unbinding already if it can be achieved MUCH cheaper? The only reason why to buy an Avenger that way is because of an UV.
Even if you buy the Sealed Sword instead of an Avenger you get much off.

Not sure why you tried to sell it.

@Tgyoshi

But I got bored of my avenger and wanted to sell it so I could work on something new, and---

God DAMN it. Not only do I owe my friend 1.8k CE for unbinding it, but I can't sell this useless sword and even if I give my friend the sword I'll be sitting in a huge loss of profit.

Who in the hell is responsible for making this game, and who's idea was it to overprice the unbinding shop? Please, I'd like to know as I've spend a lot of time and money on this game only to get punched in the face by the greed of Three Rings.

I'm going to go insane if I don't get a refund for that unbind, or someone who's willing to buy my avenger. Even with Gremlin Medium, I hardly have a chance at selling it.

You're tearing me apart, Spiral Knights. I never asked for this. I just wanted to sell my old weapon so I could get something nice. Which apparently, is impossible.

Why didn't you get a buyer

Why didn't you get a buyer BEFORE you un-bound the sword, I always do, then i unbind and sell at the agreed price. Patience is the companion of wisdom.

@Melisan

I've always thought that if you unbind an item, you can sell it quickly. I've done it before, just not with 4 star items...

Augh, I might as well sell this thing for a price cheaper than unbind and sit in a huge pile of wasted profit with a small amount of debt. There's no point for this thread to even exist anymore because Three Rings is just gonna keep screwing me over any time I want to make profit without spending real money.

I'm just going to pathetically abandon this thread while everyone laughs at me because everything I've ever did in this game was just a huge waste...

Ehm, you just didn't think

Ehm, you just didn't think before selling, and as Melisan says, unbind AFTER finding a buyer >_<.

Unbinding isn't something you should just do, only in special cases (uv's, items from tokens etc. (sealed sword)).

And I'm very sure you won't get a refund for that unbind, since you just decided to buy an unbind. I'm never unbinding myself as well btw. Too expensive for me. But people still do it :).
Like a Blackened Crest (4*): 'hard' to get since you need 30 Vana tokens. Many people just buy that shield for about 2.5k CE.
Avenger, why? You can just get a much cheaper Sealed sword.
Bad decision you made.

Btw: I doubt you're ever gonna sell that sword. I wouldn't get it for 1.8kCE as well.

It really has nothing to do

It really has nothing to do with three rings - the reason you can't sell it is because nobody wants it. Supply and demand determine all the prices in this game. The real problem is that there are people willing to sell it at a loss that drive the market price down - if no one was willing to sell it at a loss then supply would shrink causing upward market pressure. This is what happens when you have a bunch of kids spending their parents money.

Uh, how much is the OP trying

Uh, how much is the OP trying to sell the avenger for? I'm sure it will sell, but not for 10kCE or anything close to that. My experience is that you can at least get the unbinding cost back. Yeah, it is cheaper and not much harder to just buy a sealed sword and upgrade, but people are lazy.

Ren, you are very angry in

Ren, you are very angry in your own topics it seems. I've had plenty of times I raged at this game myself, but that was before reminding myself the following:

3500CE is just $10. The largest possible amount of frustration one can have over this game can basically be offset by small a dollar amount at any time, most likely a few dollars at best.

.

If you can't sell for at least 11k cr on the AH, vendor it for only a small loss. If you had checked AH prices beforehand, you could have actually made money, since vendors can buy bound items.

If you are having trouble

If you are having trouble selling something that generally means there are people selling it cheaper then you. Check the going prices and sell a little under them if you want it to sell quickly. If all you are trying to do is make back the cost of the weapon then sell it for about 2200 CE (because honestly mats and crowns for crafting are so little they're a moot point), that's enough to cover the unbind fee and the 400 you dropped into it to turn it into an Avenger.

The only other thing I can think of is that people don't want to buy the 4* weapon because they still have to put the work in to turn it into Divine Avenger. And quite honestly if you're putting out the money to buy a high end weapon most people don't want to put any work into it other then heating the finished product.

I'd recommend at this point

I'd recommend at this point rolling UVs on it and trying to get a good one - then it'll be much easier to find a buyer.

Of course, you'll probably waste more money than you'll get on Punch and his stupid rerolls than you'll make back.
